Type For Crystalline Module

Page 2: 20121227 Sunbolts ECO JBox

Electrical Rating: 1000V (TUV)/600V(UL), DC 20A Operation Temperature Range: -40 ْ◌◌ْC ~ +90 ْ◌◌ْC

Caution:

1). The module must be isolated and disconnected during the assembling or disassembling process

2). Cannot be unplugged under load

3). The junction box is for in-factory assembling process with photovoltaic module, but can be maintained or repaired in field.

4). ESD protection and humidity control are required during the assembling and test process with module to avoid the damage of bypass diode.

Preparation:

Selected bypass diodes, Diotec SB1240 (ISC: 8A) , Diotec SB 1540 (ISC: 10A), and HY 20SQ040 (ISC: 10.5A)

Tool required for opening box cover and disconnecting dual certified connector (Firm Grip).

Flat Screw Driver for Opening Box

Cover Tool for Disconnecting Dual Certified

(Firm Grip) Connector. Unit: mm

Dow 744 Bonding

Adhesive Application Area

1). Clean the module back surface with suitable primer. Apply the silicone sealant to the adhesive application area in the back of ECO JB. We recommend DOW 744 for bonding ECO JB to PV Module. Insertion Method- A: 27~29mm B: 23~25mm C: 14~16mm

Thickness=0.2mm~0.5mm

2). Please arrange the module ribbon as below: Max. Width= 8mm

Replace the Diode-The bypass diode of ECO JB is fixed with screw down mechanism. It is allowed to replace the failure diode in field. 1). Release the screws in the both side of diode.

2). Remove the screw and flat spring.

3). Remove the diode

Page 13: 20121227 Sunbolts ECO JBox

4). Put a new diode back to the position of failed one. Please pay attention to the polarity of new diode must be the same as other diodes in the box and the diode lead length must be cut according to the drawing below.

Unit: mm Polarity Mark

5). Put the screws and flat spring back, and then have the diode fixed by screw driver. The minimum torque force applied is 1.5kg. 6). Done

Replace the Cable Assemblies-The cable assemblies of ECO JB is fixed with screw down mechanism. It is allowed to replace the damaged cable assemblies in field. 1). Release the nut from ECO JB main housing with multifunctional hand tool.

2). Release the screw fix the cable assembly with screw driver. 3). Remove the damaged cable assembly.

4). Install a new cable assembly back, and please make sure the gasket, claw and nut are in right sequence.

NUT Claw Gasket 5). Put the screw back to its own position and tide with screw driver. Minimum 1.5kg troque force is required. Tighten the cable nut with multi functional hand tool. To ensure the nut is not ever is not over tightened, the torque is not allowed to exceed 0.85 N-m by using torque wrench.
