Stein Family Foundation Principal Pops Conductor Marvin Hamlisch, with his ever-charming sense of humor sees that fun is practically guaranteed. A Tribute to Richard Rodgers kicks off the season. Then, in addition to the great times you’ve come to expect from the MSO Pops, an extra special special: AN EVENING WITH NATALIE MERCHANT As capitvating as Scheherezade herself, this multi-platinum award-winning vocalist joins the MSO for an evening of musical tales built on a foundation of 19th and 20th century British and American poets and writers. Fiery and declarative, intimate and soothing, she’ll leave you wanting more. Subscribe early for best seating! The one, the only Doc Severinsen — is comin’ to town for four performances this December, so Doc the Halls! and don’t be left out in the cold. The MSO Chorus, vocalists Kevin Deas and Janice Chandler- Eteme join Jeff Tyzik for Gershwin Favorites featuring magnificent melodies from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess. Marvin’s American Songbook features vocalist Doug LaBreque in February. And John Lloyd Young Tony award-winning cast member from the original Jersey Boys joins the the Maestro in April.
