The small leaves are divided into about f ive lobes which gi ves the plant a delicate appearance. It grows to about 6 feet tall and 4 feet wi de, with regular water. It blooms in t he Spring, with 2" white rose-like flowers. “Plumes” are pinkish-purple in color, about 2 1/2" in diameter. AUSTRIAN PINE (  Pinus Nigra Austriaca) Height: up to 150'. Fast growing widely  planted species in landscaping along roads for dense windbreaks or screens and commercial Christmas tree plantations. Very adaptable to wind, cold, smog, salt and from heavy clay to sandy soils. COTTONWOOD - NARROW LEAF Height: up to 60’. Native t o the U.S. and its most active growth period is in the summer. Has green foliage and inconspicuous white flowers. The greatest bloom is usually observed in the spring, with fruit and seed  production starting in the summer and continuing until summer. Rapid growth rate. GOLDEN CURRENT is a perennial shrub, which is native to the U.S. and has its most active growth period in the spring and summer. It has green foliage and inconspicuous yellow flowers, with a moderate amount of conspicuous red fruits or seeds. The greatest bloom is usually observed in the mid spring, with fruit and seed  production starting in the summer and continuing until fall. Leaves are not retained year to year. Maximum height of 1 0 feet. PONDEROSA PINE grows rapidly when young, but will slow down at reaching 50 to 75 foot maturity. It has dark green needles which grow 5 -10 inches long. This tree tolerates dry spells and alkaline soils. Windbreak plantings us ing the Ponderosa Pine will protect farm buildings, feed lots and orchards from heavy sows and icy winds. PURPLE ROBE LOCUST is a medium-sized upright tree, growing 40 feet in height with a compact, rounded form. Hardy to zone 3, this l ocust prefer s full sun, is tolerant of most soils and fixes nitrogen. Provide adequate water during establishment and moderate watering thereaf ter. Flowers are s howy, pea-like and occur in  pendulous clusters 4 to 8 inc hes long. They are pink, very fragrant and bloom in late May to early June for about a week.  Fruit consists of a flat, 2 to 4 inch brown pod that matures in October and persists into winter. RUSSIAN SAGE makes a bold statement in spring. Russian Sage is not used for cooking like most other sages. It makes a great lining of a walkway or path. Russian Sage is an upright shrub with grayish-white stems and silvery gray leaves. Blooms midsummer into fall , depending on variety. Fragrant, Fall Color, will attract Butter flies. Drought Tolerant, Deer Resist ant and Easy to Grow. Maximum Height 3 feet. THREE LEAF SUMAC is a shrub that grows to 4-5tall and wide. It spreads by underground rhizomes, so each year clump size increases. Produces yellow flowers  before leaf out. Fruit is red in late summer / fall. Outstanding fall foliage of yellow,
