Gala Dinner & Auction

Main Auction Terms & CondiTions

The following rules and conditions have been established to provide guests with an understanding of the Main Auction process and to protect the interests of North Melbourne Football Club against unforeseen and unreasonable costs that could affect the positive work achieved during this fundraising event. Please ensure you understand your responsibilities clearly before making a bid. The auctioneer is in charge of all bidding and has final authority in the event of a dispute.

1. It is intended that all physical items in the Main Auction will be displayed and available for viewing from 7pm. All other items are represented by a voucher. All items will be described in the catalogue along with any conditions of sale. Photographs in the catalogue are used for illustration purposes only.

2. All sales are final. Items in the catalogue cannot be converted into cash. Any expression by the Auctioneer is an expression only and shall have no bearing. All items are at the risk and expense of the purchaser at the fall of the hammer.

3. North Melbourne Football Club reserves the right to set a reserve price for any/all items. All items have a reserve amount and if the reserve is not reached, the item will not be sold. All items include GST. The Auctioneer’s decision will be final and has final authority in the event of a dispute.

4. Values set forth against items being auctioned are estimates only and are not warranted by the Club. All items on display are deemed to have been inspected by purchasers.

5. All travel lots and accommodation normally require a minimum of 45 days notice to the provider/s of the items unless otherwise specified.

6. Unless otherwise specified, or specifically arranged all experiences and services are to be used within one year from Saturday 20 July, 2013 or as specified in each items terms and conditions. Failure to use these items by July 20, 2014 will result in the offer expiring without any refund being made to you.

PaymenT

1. Successful bidders will be issued with a payment sheet after the final bid and will be required to arrange payment at that time. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card (including Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Diners). Once the payment sheet is completed, a receipt will be issued. The receipt must be presented to collect the item on the night. All payments made with Diners or Amex will incur a 3% surcharge.

2. Items must be paid in full on the night. If paying by cheque items cannot be taken until funds are cleared.

3. The sales sheet will be receipted and the purchaser is advised to take the item with them at the close of the function on presentation of receipt. Successful bidders will be required to sign for collection of the item.

4. If items cannot be collected on the night, it will be the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange collection/delivery of the goods. Arrangements must be made for items to be picked up from North Melbourne Football Club, 204-206 Arden Street, North Melbourne 3051, by close of business on Friday 23rd August, 2013. After this time, the Club will endeavour to courier the items at cost to the purchaser.
