PATIENT EXPERIENCES

SILENT AUCTION DONORS

SUPPORT GROUPSStoddard staff believe that proper treatment of cancer includes addressing both psychological and physical symptoms, therefore offering 11 different support groups. In addition, through the “What’s On Your Mind?” program, patients and families spend time with a licensed psychologist to confidentially examine the issues they are facing and explore coping strategies. All support group services are free of charge.

CANCER SURVIVORS DAYEach year, Stoddard hosts a Cancer Survivors Day event to celebrate the fortitude and strength of cancer survivors and their families. It is a day filled with fun, laughter, and camaraderie for those who are on and have been through the cancer journey. National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual celebration of life held in communities throughout the world.

COFFEE, COOKIES & CONVERSATIONThrough this program, volunteers deliver chocolate chip cookies and cups of coffee two times a week to our patients and families on the Adult Oncology floor and Radiation Oncology Department. Sweet treats and friendly smiles from volunteers help to brighten days during a challenging time.

RAISE YOUR HANDHaven’t bought anything but would still like to support the Stoddard Care Coordinator Program? Keep your hand in the air until someone comes to you or fill out a form already on the table. We provided assistance to more than 700 patients and families through this program in 2012. You decide how much you would like to contribute—gifts of all sizes make a difference.
