RMH BC Island Golf Tournament – Monday, August 12th, 2013 at Uplands Golf Club, Victoria

Dear Friend of the House, This year marks the 21st anniversary of our Vancouver Island Golf Tournament! Since 1992, this tournament has brought together dedicated golfers and members of the community to raise funds for seriously ill children and families from Vancouver Island. When Island children are diagnosed with cancer or other serious illnesses, they often require specialized treatment that is not available in their home communities or even at Victoria General Hospital. Since 1987, funds raised at the Island Golf Tournament have provided accommodation for over 10,000 families in need, and 1/3 of these families travelled from Vancouver Island. Your support in 2013 is even more critical because we are building a new 73-bedroom Ronald McDonald House on the grounds of BC Children’s Hospital which will serve thousands more families from Island communities. The 21st Annual Island Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, August 12th at Uplands Golf Club with a shotgun start at 1:30pm.

We would like to invite you to make a difference by getting involved in one of the following ways:

Playing in the tournament. Your entry fee will include a BBQ lunch, 18 holes of golf (Texas Scramble style),

carts, on-course contests/giveaways, a gourmet dinner, and access to great prizes and auction items, all at

the Uplands Golf Club, recognized as having Canada's top golf course superintendent for the year 2012;

Become a tournament sponsor. There are different sponsorship levels available, and many include a

complimentary foursome in the tournament;

Donate to our live and silent auction

Your generosity will directly benefit families with seriously ill children, many of whom are from Vancouver Island,

while earning valuable community exposure for your organization.
