A decade ago, SureFire reinvented the suppressorsetting a standard that is

unmatched to this day. Now our new SOCOM Series models are setting the bareven higher. U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) recently held the

most extensive and rigorous suppressor trials in history. The result: SureFires

SOCOM556-RC and SOCOM762-RC suppressors were the clear winners, handily

deeating all competitors. The advanced, patent-pending technology incorporated

into these new designs provides signicant advantages like minimized gas

blowback as well as the virtual elimination o irst-round lash thanks to improved

gas-fow dynamics and our innovative new ront plate design. These technological

advancements are inused into the entire line o SOCOM Series Suppressors.

From the start, SureFire suppressors have provided superior sound, fash, and

muzzle blast reduction, all core components o our Total Signature Reduction(TSR) philosophy. Our patented Fast-Attach system permits the mounting o our

suppressors solidly to a SureFire fash hider or muzzle brake in secondsmore

securely than beoreand lets you remove it just as quickly. They produce minimal

and consistent point-o-impact shit compared with an unsuppressed weapon, regardless o attach/detach cycles, and typically improve accuracy. Building

on this battle-proven system, all SOCOM Series Suppressors eature a greatly

improved lock ring and latch, and improved suppressor indexing.

SureFire suppressors are built rom U.S. mill-certiied high-temp alloys that

provide extreme resistance to gas and particle erosion. They typically outlast

the bar rels to whi ch they are mou nted. Weig ht-e icie nt materi als , cou ple d

with compact size, minimize impact on weapon maneuverability and handling.

Additionally, SOCOM Series Suppressors boast several innovative new eatures

such as vented blast bales, internal blast shields, and improved gas-low

dynamicsand theyre built in America to ensure their quality. The result oall this obsessive attention to detail: the worlds ultimate sound suppressors,

designed, tested, and built to help you prevailand get home saely.

    BARRY DUECk

    DIRECTOR, SUREFIRE SUPPRESSOR DIVISION

Barry Dueck is a ormer Marine, a co-ounding

instructor o the SureFire Institute, and a national

3-gun champion. His prime directiveassigned to

him by Dr. John Matthews, ounder and president

o SureFireis simply to build the absolute best

suppressors in the world. Barry and his team

have accomplished just that, establishing the

standard by which all other sound suppressors are

measured. This is his proudest accomplishment:

providing our nations military and law enorcement

proessionals with the ultimate suppressors thatgive them signifcant advantages in combat.

The Model 1909 sound suppressor was introduced

by Hiram Maxim over 100 years ago. And until

    recently, suppressor technology remained relatively

unchanged rom that original design. These devices

were best suited or close range engagements o

limited duration because they generally aectedbullet trajectory and lost eicacy with extended

fring strings, oten loosening rom the weapon or

    overheating destructively.

    SureFire positively transormed the sound

suppressor permanently in 2002 with the launch o

    our Suppressor Division. Groundbreaking design

    insightsin conjunction with advanced metallurgy

have enabled us to build suppressors that are

    extremely eective, compact, lightweight, durable,

and easily attached and detached. Our suppressors

minimally aect accuracy, and in most cases there is

    an improvement.

This ballistic consistency combined with extreme

durability makes ulltime suppressor use practical.Military personnel, law enorcement ofcers, and

civilian shooters can all beneft rom the advantages

provided by ulltime use: continual reduction o

sound, muzzle ash, and dust/oliage signatures that

can reveal your position to adversaries; continual

protection against temporary hearing loss that can

shut out vital commands and signifcant sounds; and

    continual protection against potential permanent

hearing loss that can compromise personal saety,

deployment and/or employment options, and overall

    quality o lie.

    SureFires revolutionary suppressor technology

has continued to evolve. Our SOCOM series o

suppressors introduces advanced eatures such asimproved gas ow dynamics and a patent-pending

ront plate design that minimizes frst-round ash

signature to unprecedented levels. We spare no eort

in our research and development eorts because

we know that the the peacekeepers and warfghters

who keep us saeboth at home and overseas

    deserve nothing less.

    TSR//

In a combat context, signatures are anything that reveal a warfghters

presence or position to the enemy. They include:

Visible signatures such as muzzle ash, light rom

    illumination tools, light reection

Audible signatures such as gunshots, talking, open radios

Olactory signatures such as uels, solvents, fre, cooking,

    tobacco, scented products

Total Signature Reduction (TSR) is SureFires systematic eort to

minimize the signatures o military personnel and LEOs operating in

combat-like conditions, such as SWAT teams. It is driven by a simple yetpowerul concept: In combat, soldiers are both saer and deadlier when

their presence and location are unknown to the enemy. The less the

signature, the more quickly, saely, and easily an operator can approach,

    strike unexpectedly, and change position.

The concept is specifcally mentioned in the Joint Chies o Sta

    publication titled Joint Vision 2010:

Advances in low-observable technologies and the ability

to mask friendly forces will also continue over the next 15

years. Signature reduction will enhance the ability to engage

adversaries anywhere in the battlespace and improve the

survivability of forces who employ it.

SureFire is currently ocused on reducing battlespace signature caused

by frearms, acoustic communication, and artifcial illumination o all

types. Our signature-reducing product lines include:

    Sound Suppressors

Arguably the most important area o signature reduction concerns a

warfghters rie. When fred, it produces two strong signatures thatcan be easily detected at great distancesmuzzle ash and muzzle

report. It also produces secondary signatures visible at signifcant

distancesraised dust and debris and/or oliage movement rom muzzle

blast. Sound suppressors mitigate all o these with an exception: most

suppressors do not eliminate frst-round ash. SureFires new SOCOM

Series sound suppressors use improved gas-ow dynamics and a

patent-pending ront plate design that virtually eliminates frst-round

ash, a technological breakthrough in this area.

Sound suppressors also provide our additional benefts unrelated to

signature detection by the enemy. The reduced sound levels protect the

shooter and his team members against both temporary and permanent

hearing loss; reduced muzzle ash preserves the shooters dark-adapted

vision; attenuated muzzle gas blast minimizes raised dust, keeping the

shooters view unobstructed; and attenuated recoil allows bullet impact

    observation and aster ollow-up shots.

    Inrared-Output WeaponLights

A second key area o signature reduction is stealth, which is another

subject highlighted in Joint Vision 2010:

Adaptations to this increasingly lethal battlespace will be

warranted. These adaptations are likely to take the form of

increased stealth, mobility, dispersion and pursuit of a highertempo of operations among elements within the battlespace.

Stealth options range rom simple measures such as dark clothing

or night operations to technologically advanced measures such

as clothing that masks thermal signature, or inrared technologies

related to night vision devices. SureFire's involvement in the latter

includes our V-Series WeaponLights, IR-output Helmet Lights, and other

    inrared illuminators.

    Keeping a SureFire suppressor on

your weapon ulltime not only gives yousound, ash, and dust/oliage signature

reduction, but it also helps protect you

rom temporary hearing loss that can

shut out crucial commands or sounds,

    compromising your saety and your

mission. Fulltime use can also protect

    against permanent hearing loss that

can compromise your saety, limit your

    SF-TRAINER-556

    SF-TRAINER-762

The SureFire Suppressor Trainer mimics the length, weight, and

    attachment system o a SOCOM556-RC or SOCOM762-RC suppressor

or training with rangible ammunition and/or marking cartridges

(e.g. Simunition FX). Machined rom aerospace aluminum and

Mil-spec hard anodized, it provides no sound attenuation, and is not

    legally classifed as a suppressor.

Simunition and FX are registered trademarks o General Dynamic Ordnance and TacticalSystems Canada, Inc.

    BLANK FIRING ADAPTER (BFA)

    BLANK SAFETY DEVICE (BSD)

Both models were developed or realistic weapons training and resemble

SureFire sound suppressors in size and weight but are coated in a durable

yellow fnish. The BFA is strictly a training aid, while the BSD serves that same

purpose but can also trap up to three negligently fred live rounds. A fred live

round also ruptures the BSD's saety partition, resulting in a noticeably louder

sound and a downward blast o muzzle gas through the saety ports, alerting

the operator and those around him. The BFA is not designed to trap a live round.
