Dear Bronco Basketball Fans,
It is time for Bronco Basketball once again! On behalf of the Clovis North community thank you for your support of another exciting season. We are extremely proud of the hard work our athletes demonstrate each day and are looking forward to competitive games each week! This season is Coach Tony Amundsen’s first year with the Broncos, and he and his staff have worked diligently to prepare our athletes to be the best that they can be…I appreciate the time they give to our student-athletes.
We strongly urge you to show your positive support for our athletes and coaches and the utmost respect for the opposing team and the officials. Clovis North wants to continue in its “Pursuit of Victory with Honor” on the court and in the stands as we demonstrate excellent sportsmanship.
Bronco Basketball will continue to grow and be successful because of the commitment and dedication demonstrated by our amazing coaching staff, their families, our fans, and community. We look forward to seeing you each week…GO BRONCOS!
Scott Dille – Principal
Welcome to the 2014 basketball season! We are extremely excited about our upcoming season. Our young student- athletes have been working hard this past off-season to bring home another CIAL basketball championship. We know that Bronco Basketball wouldn’t be successful without the significant dedication and commitment demonstrated by our extraordinary coaching staff, their families, our fans and our community to make this a championship season!
In our “Pursuit of Victory with Honor” we strongly urge our Bronco community to exhibit positive support for all our athletes, coaches as well as the opposing teams and officials. The experience and lessons learned by our student-athletes through their participation in athletics is something our young athletes will carry with them through their lives. Let’s continue to show the rest of the league that we do things the right way because we are
BRONCO STRONG!
Rob Streeter – Granite Ridge Athletic Director
The Clovis North Educational Center Athletic Department would like to welcome you to the 2013-14 boys basketball season. After yet another great fall athletic season which featured 3 TRAC championships, we look forward to our boys’ basketball team leading the winter sports campaign. The Bronco family welcomes Tony Amundsen as our new Director of Boys Basketball. Coach Amundsen comes to CNEC after leading the Bullard Knights to the past 3 Division I Valley Championships. We are excited for our new coach and staff to put their stamp on our growing basketball program. Our gyms are always full of basketball players of all ages.
As usual the TRAC will be an incredible challenge. Cougars, Eagles, Timberwolves, Bears, and Grizzlies will be looking to take down the Broncos. We have a young varsity team, but they get better each day and they definitely are BRONCO STRONG! Thank you for supporting our program

The Clovis North High School Boys Basketball Program philosophy is simple. We believe in doing the things that make you a winner. Some people want to win. We have to win. This type of attitude and sense of urgency develops the self-discipline and commitment it takes to be successful on and off the court. Our brand of basketball is fast paced and requires high inten-sity on offense and defense for 32 minutes. We pride ourselves on hustle and toughness. It is our goal, as a coaching staff and as players, to be the hardest working program in the state. For a student athlete to be a part of our family, he will have to live up to high standards of at-titude, effort, behavior, and academics. Each individual must give up the “me” for “we,” and must hold each other accountable to sustain a high level of hard and smart work. Our character is defined by what we do, and in this program when we win we are modest and give credit to our teammates. If we lose, we do it with dignity. When we are faced with adversity, our mental
toughness and character will help us thrive in those situations. Our coaches will lead by example and our players will be ambassadors to our program, at home, in the classroom, and on the court. This program is not for everyone, and it is not going to be easy. We admit to demanding a high level of excellence, and the players in the program will need to buy in and be special enough to have a successful season.
GOALS: TO TEACH, LEARN, AND EXECUTE OUR PROGRAM COVENANTS
I. Our program will get our student/athletes to strive for excellence in the following areas everyday, at home, in the classroom, and on the basketball court:1. DISCIPLINE 2. HUSTLE3. TOUGHNESS4. TOGETHERNESS 5. COMMITMENT 6. CHARACTER7.
II. Every student/basketball player will graduate from High School.
III. Every student/basketball player will go on to college and continue their education.
IV. Every student/basketball player will know and use the 7 program covenants as guidelines for success in life.

WELCOME FROM TONY AMUNDSEN
COACH’S NOTEI am so thrilled and honored to be the Director of Sport for Boys Basketball and the Head Coach of the Boys Varsity Basketball team here at Clovis North High School. I have lived in this community for the last 16 years, and many of my friends and my children’s friends live in the Clovis North area. My three children (Cadee, Connor, and McKae) attend Copper Hills Elementary School, and my daughter Cadee will be on the Clovis North Educational Center campus next year as a 7th grader. The administration here at Clovis North got a two for one deal, when they hired me. My wife, Michelle, takes a lot of pressure off of me because she does much of the work for our K-12 basketball program. I know many of the families that are coming through our feeder system and the future looks very bright, and I am excited to be a Bronco.
I have been coaching basketball for 16 years and have been a part of many successful programs. The best part of coaching is watching the growth of every player in our program. I am proud to say that each student/athlete learns how to work hard, display great character, while keeping a positive, never-quit attitude no matter how much adversity we face. I see it every day in practice and in every game. The growth is amazing! We want to create a culture of hard work, commitment, and excel-lence on and off the court. We want the excitement and energy to be present in our basketball program and our community!
I would like to recognize and thank all of our sponsors who give to our program. Their donations keep our program heading in the right direction. You will find their advertisements in this media guide. We would appreciate it, if you could give them some business and thank them for supporting the Clovis North Boys Basketball program. Without their financial support we would not have the things we need to compete at a high level.
I hope you enjoy our Media Guide and this basketball season and thank you for supporting Clovis North Basketball.
