In 2014, we had 18% of 438, or 78 students in 2 nd -11 th grade, that were non-proficient in reading. In 2013 we had 24% of 442, or 106 students, that were non-proficient in reading.

  • Long-Range Goals Goal 1: All K-12 students will achieve at high levels in reading comprehension, prepared for success beyond high school. Goal 2: All K-12 students will achieve at high levels in mathematics, prepared for success beyond high school.   • Elementary School Annual Goals for 2014-15 Reading Goal: 25% of FAY students from 2 nd grade (2013-2014) will show proficiency on IA TIER in 3 rd grade (2014-2015). How We Did: We had 80% of our students be proficient on the FAST Reading Assessment in the 3 rd Grade class. Math Goal: 25% of FAY students from 2 nd grade (2013-2014) will show growth on NSS in 3 rd grade (2014-2015) in Math. How We Did: We had 55% of our 3 rd grade students showed growth on the NSS Math assessment. Science Goal: 25% of FAY students from 2 nd grade (2013-2014) will show growth on NSS in 3 rd grade (2014-2015) in Science. How We Did: 47% of the FAY 3 rd grade students showed growth on the NSS Science assessment.

  • Intermediate School Annual Goals for 2014-15 Reading Goal: 20% of the FAY students in the 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th grade performing in the non- proficient range on the 2013-14 Iowa Assessment will show growth on the 2014-15 test in Reading How We Did: We had 36 out of 44 FAY students show growth which was 80%. Math Goal: Math: 20% of the FAY students in the 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th grade performing in the non- proficient range on the 2013-14 Iowa Assessment will show growth on the 2014-15 test in Math How We Did: We had 31 out of 36 FAY students show growth which was 86%. Science Goal: 20% of the FAY students in the 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th grade performing in the non- proficient range on the 2013-14 Iowa Assessment will show growth on the 2014-15 test in Science How We Did: We had 47 out of 53 FAY students show growth which was 88%. Social Studies Goal: 20% of the FAY students in the 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th grade performing in the non- proficient range on the 2013-14 Iowa Assessment will show growth on the 2014-15 test in Social Studies. How We Did: We had 21 out of 28 FAY students show growth which was 75%.

  • Jr./Sr. High School Annual Goals for 2014-15 Reading Goal: 25% of the FAY students in the classes of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 performing in the non-proficient range on the 2013-14 Iowa Assessment will show growth on the 2014-15 test in Reading. How we did: 29 out of 38 students, so 76% of non-proficient students made growth on the 2014-15 Reading Iowa Assessments. Math Goal: 25% of the FAY students in the classes of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 performing in the non-proficient range on the 2013-14 Iowa Assessment will show growth on the 2014-15 test in Math. How we did: 32 out of 35 students, so 91% of non-proficient students made growth on the 2014-15 Math Iowa Assessments. Science Goal: 25% of the FAY students in the classes of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 performing in the non-proficient range on the 2013-14 Iowa Assessment will show growth on the 2014-15 test in Science. How we did: 37 out of 44 students, so 84% of non-proficient students made growth on the 2014-15 Science Iowa Assessments. Social Studies Goal: 25% of the FAY students in the classes of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 performing in the non-proficient range on the 2013-14 Iowa Assessment will show growth on the 2014-15 test in Social Studies. How we did: 39 out of 47 students, so 83% of non-proficient students made growth on the 2014-15 Social Studies Iowa Assessments
