Dear Shareholders,
Konnichiwa!
As always, it is my pleasure invite you to peruse the pages of our yearly recap of activities and accomplishments. Our management team has worked long and hard to maintain the high standards that you have come to expect for the operation and success of this complex organization.
Once again, our Employee of the Year has, by his unceasing determination, love and hard work, kept the gold in his own, ever capable hands. Fourteen years running and without even a close competitor for this coveted award, James “Daddy” Milner is at the top of the podium once again! Management will have to consider erecting a permanent monument to his unswerving dedication. We salute him today and into the future...
Arigatou Gozaimasu!

When does the possession of knowledge carry ethical responsibility?
by Sydney Milner Ethics, by definition, involves the moral choices that are made by an individual. Without
a doubt, knowledge always carries ethical responsibilities. But what matters most is how
you incorporate your personal ethics into your actions. The situations can be big or small,
and possibly even involve legal issues that might conflict with your individual ideas of right
and wrong. There are many possible outcomes to achieve with your knowledge, but you
have to think about the right choices. The possession of knowledge carries an ethical responsibility in the manner that you use
it. You must be sure that the knowledge is not being used in a harmful way. Edward
Snowden broke the law by releasing classified information, while trying to maintain what
he felt was his ethical responsibility to the public. While some consider him a traitor, others
call him a hero. The ethics are not always obvious. In another example, you might have a situation where a pregnant girl who is under 18
asks the doctor to not tell her parents because they might throw her out of the house. The
law says they must be informed. The doctor has to decide if he wants to violate the law and
a family’s values. Conversely, if she were just over 18 and not in a position to make good
decisions, he would have the opposite choice. There is the law and there are the human
issues. The doctor, in deciding his ethical responsibility, has the option to go against the
girl’s wishes, and against the law, or to keep the secret. Again, it is not an easy decision to
make. Are there objective ethical rules, or does every moral judgment depend on the
circumstances? Ethical responsibilities lie in making good use of knowledge. Smaller issues
might involve keeping a secret. Your friend could be smoking and she asked you not to tell
her parents, that it's a secret. You have an ethical responsibility to choose between the
health of your friend, or telling her parents. That could end up with her not liking you. Or,
you could keep the secret, to not lose her trust and friendship. In certain circumstances, you
might have to go against your ethics and responsibility because of the law, or your parents.

5 PBSYDNEY LLEWLLYN MILNER CORPORATION / 2014 - 2015 ANNUAL REPORT JUNE 21, 2015
Three short weeks later our chairman
was off to Paris where she did keep
in touch with a few well placed text
messages. (not too much reminding
needed...) The FAIS website was
scoured daily for photos showing a
glimpse of our Chairman and her
associates on their travels around
Paris.
During the spring quarter, the
Chairman took an uncharacteristic step
out of her comfort zone and volunteered
to participate, with about 18 other
Middle School students, in a theatrical
performance: Toussaint Louverture:
The Story of the Only Successful Slave
Revolt in History by C.L.R. James. This
activity enabled our Chairman to take
yet another school sanctioned junket
out of town to Dallas, Texas for the
Dallas Multilingual Theater Festival- an
event open only to Bi-lingual schools
around the country. Her part was not
long... General Morino of Spain and
Slave #3... so memorization was not
too much of a chore... but at least not
buried in costume so deep that we
could not see her! (see annual report
from 2008..)
We are still navigating a complex
schedule, but the Chairman seems to
have finally gotten the hang of things
this year and is coping well with the
diversity of subjects crammed into
each week’s schedule.
M. Dufresnes has been difficult in
French, but balanced by a new joy
in the sciences and math, and a love
of Mr. J, her English teacher, the
Chairman has accomplished much.
Receiving the nod from the science
department, her science fair project
moved on to the larger production at
the Randall Museum garnering her a
wonderful 4th place in the city-wide
competition. We are so proud of her!
Our chairman participated in the 8th
grade “trial by fire” of SSAT exams,
looking at high schools, writing essays
and applying for one outside (Urban)
making her Odyssey... even though she
was pretty certain that International
was the place she wanted to be.
Now that next year’s venue is
determined, she is currently deciding
whether to finish the French track in
9th grade by completing the Brevet.
Eighth grade at FAIS is the year for
the traditional Paris student exchange
and the chairman was again fortunate
to get an exceptionally sweet girl -
Marie Millet for her correspondent.
We enjoyed a fast moving 2 weeks with
her in San Francisco - introducing her
to our favorite Sushi Boat restaurant,
Japantown in general, high tea at
Nieman Marcus and a day at La Ferme
Soleil, to name just a few high points.
Moving into our last year of Middle School has brought new challenges, but also great rewards.

Arrival in Paris en Beaute! Scott Paton 3/29/2015

Pleased to say that we enjoyed a very pleasant flight to
Paris. Our students were terrific: very cooperative and
respectful of all on board. I'm not sure that many got
much sleep, but hopefully everyone will have had an
opportunity to catch up tonight.
We look forward to the start of our visits tomorrow. The
local news is dominated by the Departmental Elections in
the second round today and that will offer us ripe fruit for
discussion and for further questioning about the French in
2015.
Spirits are high all around! Thanks for your support.

10 PBSYDNEY LLEWLLYN MILNER CORPORATION / 2014 - 2015 ANNUAL REPORT JUNE 21, 2015
As we go to press we have just finished
congratulating the Chairman on her
successful graduation from an intense
3 years of FAIS Middle School and
look forward to launching into the
“brave new world” of high school at
International in the fall.
The graduation ceremony took place
on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the
SF Conservatory auditorium. There
was not a dry eye in the house as the
graduates stepped up to receive their
hard-earned diplomas.

13 PBSYDNEY LLEWLLYN MILNER CORPORATION / 2014 - 2015 ANNUAL REPORT JUNE 21, 2015
Our chairman is determined to
continue to enjoy the excitement and
aerobic benefit she derives from her
weekly soccer practices and games
in the fall and spring seasons. This
year has been no different and she
continues to be a mainstay of the
Seals Blue defensive line making her
consistent, strong back-field kicks as
the games require.
This fall they took advantage of an
unusual eligibility to take part in a
tournament in Palo Alto where they
were able to eke out at least one
victory against teams in a more difficult
league. They were even able to hold
their own playing against their
formidable “sister team,” the upper-
house “Seals Red” - only losing by
two goals...pictured opposite in a
friendly photo after the game.
Spring season continued much as the
fall with many close games... and few
wins. But for the Chairman, it’s the
playing that counts!

Still in the annual activities mix is our
weekly Golden Gate Philharmonic
Orchestra participation and private
violin lessons with the ever patient
master teacher, Jason Totzke. We have
finally graduated to a full size violin
which now stays in tune much longer
and produces a richer, more beautiful
sound. We are well into Suzuki Book
Three and beginning to learn the
intricacies of the vibrato technique. In
addition, we are attempting to learn
how to manage the difficult handling
of the pegs for larger scale tuning on
our own.
The chairman once again participated
in the annual Cazadero retreat in
October, although not accompanied
by the usual corporate entourage who
were otherwise occupied over the
weekend. They did show up, however,
for the final concert and traditional
post-performance ice cream stop in
Guerneville with Samantha.
Our chairman is playing second violin
again this year in the Senior Orchestra
under the ever charming leadership
of master conductor, Miss Donna Lim.
We are hoping to make the move next
year into a first violin chair... but we
will unfortunately be coming off of
a summer of minimal practice due
to foreign corporate commitments.
Senior VP’s have researched the
location of violin tuning in Cambridge
and the Chairman will be taking her
instrument... but will she practice?

What a winter for skiing! Mother
Nature, for the most of the season,
withheld her snow bounty this year, but
regardless... skiing must go on.
Our VP for Finance, Daddy Milner,
unlocked the coffers in October at the
pre-season orientation and provided
our Chairman with all new, top-of-the-
line boots, Slalom and GS skis to give
her an edge for the upcoming season.
Between what looked like a promising
start in December and prodigious
snow making by all the resorts, we
managed to eke out a full season of
racing. Competitions moved around
from resort to resort chasing the best
snow... continually going higher up on
every mountain as dirt reclaimed the
lower elevations.
Correspondents in San Francisco
and the April return trip to Paris also
wreaked havoc with the Chairman’s
schedule this year.
However, the Chairman made great
strides this year on the mountain,
pushing steadily up the race charts
until she made a breakthrough to the
medals at Squaw Valley in February!
We are currently investigating how we
can squeeze racing into next year’s
packed high school schedule where it
will be difficult to make the out of state
venues — notably the ones in Colorado.
However, the Corporation’s senior
executives have pledged to release
whatever funds are necessary to fly to
destinations — thus possibly reducing
the need to miss valuable school-time.

In the interests of variety and cross-
training, our executives endeavor to
instill the love of a variety of outdoor
activities in our esteemed Chairman. We
try to squeeze in some hikes throughout
the year (so difficult to fit in around the
demands of soccer, skiing and endless
other summer activities). But when the
“stars align” it is memorable and fun!
This past July, in between camps, we
managed to wedge in a long weekend
at Tahoe. The Chairman enlisted
her colleague, Ella More, to join the
junket and we spent the first half of an
incredible full day (8am-3pm) making a
15 mile hike along the Pacific Crest trail
from Sugar Bowl to Squaw Valley. The
pace was intense, with barely a moment
to stop and get one photo off on the trail
while viewing the incredible vistas.
Just a bit tired on achieving our Squaw
destination, we filled our water bottles
and washed our feet in the Plumpjack
pond. Next, we stopped in town to get
a picnic dinner and matching flip flops
for our sore feet... before heading
off to Kings Beach on the eastern
shore of Lake Tahoe for the summer
Shakespeare Festival where we were
to enjoy a rollicking Comedy of Errors.
Up at 7 ready for our trek! Sugar Bowl staging area at the base of Disney lift for our summer season hike. On the Pacific Crest Trail...
Pre-play though, we frolicked on
the beach and did a “please-don’t-
rain” dance... the clouds were very
threatening... but they lifted just in
time!
In the next few days... our group rose
early again to make the annual suit-up
for water skiing on the other side of
the lake with our perennial corporate
partners, the Sullivan’s and Stephens/
Conlon’s. Ella got up on water skis
for the first time and did quite well.
The Chairman also acquitted herself
admirably.
Matching flip-flops...thank you VP “Daddy” Milner!

Rain threatening our outing...
Once done with water skiing, the group
reconvened at another part of the lake
for some more water sports. Paddling,
rowing and general water play! The
group even took a turn hanging onto
a big tube around Donner pulled by a
power boat the last day on Donner Lake.

Drop off day — a short walk on the beach while waiting. / Meeting our counselors for the voyage. / Our VP gives the head of crew the “3rd degree.”
For an amazing 5 days, our Chairman,
accompanied by fellow marine
enthusiast Olivia Meurk, set sail on the
Voyage Seaward, a classic 82' schooner,
and traveled along the magnificent
Central California coastline around the
Monterrey Bay. Under the guidance of
a professional captain and crew, they
were challenged to become a team by
learning to sail a traditional ship on a
voyage to the sea.
Upon departure, they developed their
sea legs by fully participating in all
aspects of shipboard life - steering,
navigating, and helping in the galley.
Standing watch on assigned shifts in the
wee hours of the night was one of the
highlights of the experience!
They explored physical oceanography,
meteorology, bay and coastal marine
ecology, while learning about the
history and traditions of the sea.

and the coastline explored in detail.
The weather was pleasant during the
day... but nights were cold! The program
delivered a rich, hands-on academic and
experiential learning opportunity which
our Chairman (and Olivia) are ready to
do once again next summer. Now that
they have one voyage under their belts...
they know better what to pack...
The Chairman is easy to see in the photos with her yellow hat!

While the Chairman had her
share of junkets, for this
fiscal year, the corporate
executives as a group took
just one extended joint trip to
Miami and the Florida Keyes in
August. There, we were united
with senior executive emeritus
Lillian “Grandma” Mandelman
for an event packed six day
jaunt – divided into two parts.
Our first few days were spent
exploring many of the artistic
and cultural venues that Miami
has to offer.
We took a personally guided
tour of downtown Miami an the
sights of South Beach where
we saw the classic buildings
and visited the incredible
Frank Gehry designed
headquarters of the New
World Symphony - summer
home to our own Michael
Tilson Thomas. From there,
we had a luscious Italian lunch
and moved on to discover the
incredible murals of Wynwood
Walls... there was something

On our own the second day in
Miami, we set out to tour Vizcaya,
the former villa and estate of
businessman James Deering, of
the Deering McCormick-International
Harvester fortune, on Biscayne Bay
in the present day Coconut Grove
neighborhood of Miami.
This early 20th
century estate
included:
extensive
Italian
Renaissance
gardens; native
woodland landscape; and a historic
village outbuildings compound. The
landscape and architecture were
influenced by Veneto and Tuscan
Italian Renaissance models and
designed in the Mediterranean Revival
architecture style, with Baroque
elements. Totally done up as “over-
the-top American businessman wants
to reproduce Europe back home...
style...” (Took a pix and posted it on
Facebook saying we were in Venice...
and everyone believed it!)
Next it was back to Downtown Miami
for some late afternoon culture... La
Boheme at the Olympia Theatre...
trying to get lunch, however, in that
part of town, on a weekend proved to
be quite a challenge... we ended up at
the only place open...Starbucks!

for lunch — which we filed away for
later use by our other executives.
We later converged outside the
famous museum dedicated to the
explorations of Mel Fisher and his
discovery of the Spanish treasure
ship, the Atocha. What excitement!
What drama! Spanish treasure, slave
ships, underwater archaeology and
more! An amazing find!
Our VP recounted his
exploits working with the Fisher
team... and then proceeds to buy
us a piece of history in the form of
a gorgeous silver “piece of eight”
officially dated, authenticated... and
upgradeable!
The second half of our junket took our
executives on a 120 mile expedition
starting from Miami, South on US
Highway 1, down along the narrow
dots of islands known as the Florida
Keys. Famous for their laid-back
vibe and as a destination for water
sports, we were primed for action...
Lillian was happy to bask in the warm
temperatures... (much improved
from her usual chilly August visit to
California...!)
Miles and miles over the narrowest
of roadways linking the many tropical
islands. Beautiful terrain mixed with
roadside shacks. Bands of variegated
blue water and blue skies with
wondrous cloud formations...
Our first day was spent exploring the
colorful island of Key West. While our
senior VP was checking out the island
from the water on a Jet Ski, the rest
of the coterie investigated the town
on foot. Ever vigilant, our Chairman
discovered a gluten free restaurant
After a sweltering day in Key West,
we boarded our bus an had the
accommodating driver let us off on
his way back to Miami at our hotel
on infamous Key Largo... (Bogart,
anyone...?) for another couple of
days of sun and sports.
We lounged on the white sands,
canoed out to the smaller
mangroves that made up the
small off-shore islands from
the beach at our hotel.

Our final day, we took a voyage out
to the Gulf in a glass bottom boat...
amazing how far out and how shallow
it was! Our captain and guide pointed
out all the sights ...we lost power in
our engines...crawled back to dock
and were buzzed twice by Coast Guard
helicopters... checking to see whether
we were up to something illegal!
Even our hardworking VP “Daddy” Milner takes a few minutes to relax.
The Chairman works on a drawing. No para gliding for us... but fun to watch!

40 PBSYDNEY LLEWLLYN MILNER CORPORATION / 2014 - 2015 ANNUAL REPORT JUNE 21, 2015
With each passing year, this category
gains in importance to the overall
functionality of the corporation
in general and the Chairman in
particular.
Friends from the school crowd have
been undergoing expansion and
refinement at the same time with
our shifting interests.
At the top echelon are Ella Moore
and Olivia Meurk... with important
contributions
by Ali Squillace,
Clements
Evans, Claire
and Margaret
Moreland, Audrey
Hirsch and Gabby
Garland. Occasional appearances
to group gatherings include Amalia
Baikie, Maxine Rosenfeld and
Rachel Wolters. Samantha Lavan,
a long standing associate, has
retreated in importance this year
while remaining in the picture due
to her participation in orchestra.
Next year, this group dynamic will
be shifting again as Margaret, Ali,
Gabby, Amalia and Samantha will
be departing FAIS/International for
other high schools.
With her friends, our Chairman
spent a huge amount of time this
year in Japantown, mostly on the
hunt for new Manga... but the Daiko
$1.50 “everything store” was also a
perennial hit. Most of the time they
were on their own...no chaperones...
they stretched their shopping
muscles and their...wallets!
Birthday time in August found the
Chairman and friends again at
Japantown savoring plates and
plates of Sushi Boat delicacies,
followed by a movie and a sleepover!
Dressing up is back in fashion and
the Chairman and cohorts spared
no detail in getting ready for
Halloween and
the Dickens’s
Fair ...perhaps
next year there
will be a COS
Convention in
their future! In
December, our Chairman and Olivia
Meurk ventured a cultural outing
to the Opera, where they enjoyed a
wonderful afternoon of La Boheme
from elegant box seats.
On the ski scene, Georgianna
(Georgie, now) Sullivan remains a
firm partner on the slopes, although
due to differing birthdays, the
Chairman shifts into U16 next year
while Georgie will be finishing up the
U14 category.
Faith, Isabella, Zoe, Mikaela, and
Elizabeth were also around cheering
each other on at the bottom of the
hill after an exhilarating race or
a grueling early morning training
session.

42 PBSYDNEY LLEWLLYN MILNER CORPORATION / 2014 - 2015 ANNUAL REPORT JUNE 21, 2015
Farm operations during this fiscal
year were hectic for our VP’s handling
the day-to-day, down in the dirt
challenges, and yields unfortunately
missed the street projections. Due to
an untimely frost and wind conditions
early in the year, buds were knocked
off the branches and the harvest
suffered. This was a disappointing
year in the olive business world-
wide... but that unfortunately didn’t
make it anymore palatable for our
own bottom line. Labor was difficult
to tie down for harvest and ultimately
our tonnage was affected.
Our total harvest results were sold
out within the first month of bottling!
Even worse... none for our own use!
Even working as hard as he did,
our extraordinary VP took time out
to make a special presentation to
teens from a local high school who
were interested in organic farming.
They were treated to a wonderful
presentation, a farm tour, an olive
tasting seminar... and lunch! Our
chairman was on hand to observe the
proceedings.

There should have been a pot-o-gold at both ends of this rainbow!

Before, on the left....after, on the right!
During the final weeks of this fiscal
year farm management decided to
test a new form of weed control...
sheep! Our chairman was fascinated
with our new additions and put in
some time learning the ins and outs
of sheepherding. Unfortunately they
like the taste of young olive leaves as
much as the weeds!

Hard at work around the orchard.... weeding, pruning, disking, fertilizing.... the chores never end...
But it certainly is beautiful out on the farm!
Kalee...kale...and more kale...!
Luxurious, bushy, beautiful trees!

Our Chairman and indispensable VP
Milner went all out to celebrate our
VP “for everything else” ...Mom’s
birthday with a specially arranged
all weekend fun fest for the Liberal
Ladies Gun and Book Club members
at La Ferme. No expense was
spared to import the top shooting
instructor from the area to educate
the members in the fine points of clay
trap shooting.
A tent was provided to protect the
member’s oh-so-fine skin against
the ravages of sun in the traditionally
90 -100 degree weather that is
customary for the month of July.
Those envious club members who
missed this one-of-a-kind affair are
now requesting a repeat event.
We are sure that the Corporation’s
VP Milner is looking forward to a time
when he can put on a similar event for
the Chairman where
she can showcase
her own shooting
skills to impress an
attending company
of novices.
