Adi Shankaracharya
Shri Adi Shankaracharya or the first Shankara with his remarkable reinterpretations of Hindu scriptures, especially on Upanishads or Vedanta, had a profound influence on the growth of Hinduism
at a time when chaos, superstition and bigotry was rampant. Shankara advocated the greatness of the Vedas and was the most famousAdvaita philosopher who restored the Vedic Dharma and Advaita
Vedanta to its pristine purity and glory.Shri Adi Shankaracharya, known as Bhagavatpada Acharya (the guru at the feet of Lord), apart from refurbishing the scriptures, cleansed the Vedic religious practices of ritualistic excesses and ushered
in the core teaching of Vedanta, which is Advaita or non-dualism for the mankind. Shankara restructured various forms of desultory religious practices into acceptable norms and stressed on the
ways of worship as laid down in the Vedas.

- Krishna Janam-Ashtmi and Ram-Navmi to celebrate the birthday and the greatness of the lives of Lord Krishna and Lord Rama.
-Janam Din Sanskar inspires us to celebrate our BIRTHDAYS with the following thought :Just as LORD RAMA and KRISHNA provided light , knowledge and bettered the lives of millions of
people , may we also be INSPIRED to LEAD LIVES that help us LIGHT our own life and the lives of those around us.
-This is a day where we take a pledge to reduce our weaknesses and enhance our strengths and become a BETTER and STRONGER person.
-The human body is made up of 5 natural elements ( Agni, Prakash, Vayu, Jal , Akash) and these five elements need to remain in balance for the human body and mind to be disease free. We learn on this day
therefore to use our resources in such a way that we lead HAPPY , HEALTHY ,BALANCED and DISEASE FREE LIVES.
-Even if we are men of LIMITED MEANS , yet like a small Deepak we can be a source of light to other people.
THE JANAM DIN SANSKAR CEREMONY :Is conducted by performing a simple Pooja. Deepak's are lit to the chants of THE GAYATRI MANTRA and

Narasimha Jayanthi is observed on the fourteenth day in the bright fortnight of Vaishakha month (Vaisakha Shukla Chaturdasi). This festival is celebrated with utmost gaiety in all Vishnu temples around the world and especially Narasimha temples host great celebrations. It is
believed that Lord Vishnu appeared in the form of Narasimha on this day to destroy demon Hiranyakashipu. The main aim of the Narasimha incarnation was to end the tyranny of Hiranyakashipu and restore the path of Dharma. Prahlada, the youngest son of
Hiranyakashipu and an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu paved the way for the removal of Adharma.
