PARENTS – Please plan your child’s schedule of activities carefully as there will be an administrativefee of $5.00 (per occurrence) assessed for changes made to a child’s registration when changingfrom one activity to another. No changes made after class begins. For REFUND or ClassCANCELLATION policy, please refer below.

REFUNDS – If your class is canceled, you may request a full refund or have credit applied to anyother program within the next year. All other refunds will be granted prior to 2 business days of thefirst class meeting less a 20% administrative fee. Refunds must be requested by close of businesson Fridays for classes that start on the following Monday. All refunds will be mailed to participants.

FREEDOM PARK – Home of the Veterans Memorial100 W. California Ave.

Located between Kerr McGee Community Center and City Hall. This is a 19.8 acre openturf area open to the public. There is also a Gazebo area available for rental.

HELLMERS PARK125 S. Warner St.

Located next to the Senior Citizen Center and Pinney Pool. This 1 acre park has picnictables and an enclosed area great for the dogs. The park hours are: 5:00am - 10:00pm.

SGT. JOHN PINNEY MEMORIAL POOL205 S. Warner St.

Located at 205 S. Warner Street, behind City Hall.

JAMES M. PEARSON MEMORIAL PARK1001 N. Downs St

This 4.5 acre park has a large playground area with a specific area for small children, abasketball court, grass, trees, and picnic tables for community use. The park hours are:5:00am - 10:00pm.

UPJOHN PARK501 E. Upjohn

This 6 acre park has two playgrounds, horse shoe pits, a basketball court, lights, andrestrooms. The park hours are: 5:00am - 10:00pm.

LEROY JACKSON PARK SPORTS COMPLEX302 E. French St.

56 acres located on French St. adjacent to Leroy Jackson Park. There are three softballfields with lights, three regulation soccer fields with lights, including the Matt ArmstrongMemorial fields. Lt. Ralph E. Foulks, Jr. Memorial Tennis Courts, a total of 6 tenniscourts, no lighting. All facilities are available for reservations, please call 499-5151.

RIDGECREST SKATE PARK302 E. French St.

Located on French St. adjacent to Leroy Jackson Park. Open to the public from 5:00amto 12:00am. Skaters are required to wear a helmet, knee pads & elbow pads.

The Kerr McGee Community Center has a large meeting/banquet hall that accommodates up to1,000 people and five smaller meeting rooms. The gymnasium is also available for rent. A completekitchen is available for rental use by individuals or caterers. For rental rates, availability and additionalinformation call 499-5151.

L.E.A.N. ESSENTIALSTaught by Jessica David, CHC: This program is designed to be facilitated as a one-time, two-hourinteractive class where parents of children ages 3 -12 years old meet and learn simple strategies toenhance their children’s health through topics like Traffic Light Eating, Brainy Breakfasts and Wateringtheir growing children. This one time class is designed to help you understand the importance ofnutrition for your family. This is for adults only; no child care offered.

The cost is $30 per person and it includes interactive instruction, a take-home booklet (will be givento you at the class), a healthy recipe, and chances to win prizes throughout our time together. Aminimum of 10 participants (and no more than 20) is required for each workshop. Payment is required10 days before the workshop begins. There are no refunds once registration closes. Please be ontime.

To keep costs low, each workshop costs $30 per person and comes with 1 take-home booklet thatwill be given to you at the workshop. You will have an opportunity to buy the optional second bookat the workshop ($15). If you sign up for all 4 workshops at the time of registration (recommended),you will pay $100 for the series (4 workshops).

This program is for youth ages 6 - 11. Camp will provide boys and girls with a fun andexciting summer. Each week will provide different activities. Some activities to be offered areswimming, bowling, movies, drama, crafts, games, and much more. Ten one-week sessions will beoffered. Program runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Kerr McGeeCommunity Center. The center will not be open before 7:00 a.m. Please pick up your child(ren) by5:30 p.m. There is a late fee of $10.00 per five minutes per child after 5:30 p.m. The fees are$105.00 per week with no half days. There is a $25.00 non-refundable deposit required PER sessionto hold your spot and is deducted from the $105.00 per week fee. The balance is due Friday prior tothe start of each session. Payments made after 5:30 pm on Monday of each session will be assesseda $20.00 late fee. There is a $5.00 discount for additional children in one family. (REGISTRATIONDEADLINE: Friday prior to start of a session) Registration is at the Kerr McGee Center.

YOUTH VOLLEYBALL CAMPThis camp is designed for Boys & Girls of all skill levels. Campers will receive instruction on thebasics of passing, hitting, blocking, setting, serving and digging in a variety of group and individualdrills. In addition, we will give details on positional training, offense and defensive strategies for theintermediate to advanced players. Note: After the first session, players (regardless of age or grade)may be asked to move up/down based on skill level for the remainder of the week. BEGINNING QUILTING FOR KIDS – Sew your own School Accessories

It is never too soon to get organized. In this class we will make a a couple of cool, schoolaccessories; a zipper accessory bag that fits in a 3-ring binder and a small zip-up bag to fit yourbackpack. UK SOCCER SUMMER CAMP 2014The UK International Soccer Camp is once again coming back to Ridgecrest this summer. UKInternational was established in 1990. Since that time, they have developed an excellent reputationand have become one of the largest providers of soccer instruction within the Western United States.Don’t miss out this year!

UK International coaches are primarily from Great Britain and have been specially selected for theirexpertise in teaching children the game of soccer. The camp program is age appropriate; childcentered and designed to work on specific technical skills and tactical situations. The coaches workwith the same group of children for the whole week and establish a rapport that supports thedevelopment of the individual player.

UK International Soccer Camps is an excellent day camp program for all soccer players in theRidgecrest area from 4 - 16 years of age. On the Saturday after camp from 9 am - 12 noon therewill be a free Coaches Clinic (10 people minimum), a Striker’s Clinic for $20 per player and aGoalkeeper’s Clinic for $20 per player. Bring a water bottle!All camp week activities will take place at the Leroy Jackson Sports Complex on French Street.

Camp will be a Soccer Skills Clinic taught by licensed soccer coaches and will be primarily basedon teaching each individual child the relevant soccer skills, in a comfortable and fun environment,that will allow them to become a more accomplished soccer player. Major elements of the game tobe taught throughout the four weeks  include Defending, Midfield and Attacking skills which will helpgive each child the confidence to apply it in game situations. As well as the individual coachingsessions during the week these newly found skills will be put to the test during the CampScrimmages/Tournaments that will be held the second and final Saturday of the camp.

LITTLE REC’ERS SePTemBeR 2014 – mAy 2015OUR LITTLE REC’ERS PROGRAM is aimed toward the aspect of having fun! Children will spendtheir time doing crafts, interacting with others, begin learning the basics of education needed forkindergarten, listening, dancing to music, playing outside on the playground/park, exercise and tottumbling. We also include special events, educational activities, community speakers and muchmore. Children must be potty-trained to enter the program. In case of bad weather, outside timewill be held in the KMCC Gym. Children will also have snack time. The program asks that everyoneparticipate in bringing a snack several times during the school year to share with his/her child’s class.

and family swim. � The Pinney Pool Rules are stated at the pool and that no floatation devices are allowed that is not

approved by the US Coast Guard. NO EXCEPTIONS!

LAP SWIM Two lanes will be dedicated to Lap Swim during the times listed. Please understand that there is avery good chance that you will be sharing a lane with other Lap Swimmers. One lane is designatedas the Fast Master/Swim Team Lane and the other will be designated as the Slow/Exercise Lane.Also, lap swimmers are required to swim laps! Participants not swimming laps will be asked to leavethe pool area without refund.
