Atlanta Phoenix is a women’s professional full contact football team. Yes, real women playing real football, tackling life and each other.

Atlanta Phoenix Football vision is to advance women’s equality, women’s personal growth and women’s sports development. Through Atlanta Phoenix community activism each player is an ambassador of women’s wellness; an advocate promoting resources and practices to develop self esteem, inner strength, and a positive attitude in spite of obstacles and setbacks life may have dealt. There may be better ways to do so but, sports has always been one of the best vehicles to use. Showing the world women can tackle, be tackled and get up to do it all over again takes an enormous amount of motivation, confidence and conditioning.

The team’s nonprofit organization, Phoenix Rising Awareness Foundation, works with other organizations to coordinate workshops, seminars, and fitness events/exhibitions to showcase and encourage strength on the field and in life through total body wellness and awareness.

About Atlanta Phoenix

Phoenix Rising Awareness Foundation(PRAF) is a 501 c(3) non-profit organization in Atlanta, GA. It provides a service to communities for the advancement of women’s fitness and total wellness. This often involves volunteering labor for sports &fitness camps, empowerment workshops, charity events, setup and clean-up.

PRAF is driven exclusively by donations from individuals & businesses, & get no contributions from either state, municipality of county.

Since its inception PRAF has served the community as advocates & labor for various large & small causes. Including:

• Lead stretches for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta StrongLegs Run,

• Host of Jingle Jogs 5K prize walk

• Delivering Thanksgiving meals to disadvantaged homes

• Volunteering at the Atlanta Community Food Bank

• Kaiser Permanente’s Get Fit Corporate Run/Walk

• & much much more touching many lives.

Business sponsorship plays a vital role in ensuring the team’scontinued growth and success, without it we wouldn’t be wherewe are today. There are significant ongoing costs associatedwith the day to day running of the team. For example, providingadequate nutrients and fueling aids for training 3-5 nights aweek as well as the cost of on and off season practice andtraining facilties.

There are many other costs such as stadium rental rates,practice & game uniforms, referees fees, branding expenses,videography and away game travel just to name a few.
