Benefits of Giving... A Solid Return on Investment

Charitable gift annuities carry the special advantage of providing income for both the donor and the recipient. This arrangement appealed to Dorathy (Dot) Burnett, who joined our Summit Society by establishing a charitable gift annuity with Adventure Unlimited.

Dot and her husband were traveling from Florida to Colorado in their motor home to see their niece and decided to visit the A/U Ranches. “We were very impressed with it and thought, ‘What a wonderful opportunity for young people to be with other Christian Scientists and to work, play and associate with them from all parts of the U.S. and the world!’”

Dot says. “I wanted to support this in some small way.”

Dot’s inquiry about a gift annuity opened the way for the A/U-DB Foundation to develop this

opportunity for giving for anyone wishing to support Adventure Unlimited. “I thought it would help both me and the organization, and when I passed on it would go to them,” she says. And Dot’s interest in a return on her investment turned out to have special

significance: “I was so pleased that I could help them out, and it gave me some extra income so I could help other Christian Science organizations, too.”
