Eligibility
The Metrobank Art and Design Excellence Sculpture Competition is open to all• Filipino sculptors who have staged at least one solo exhibition• MusthavenotwoninpastMetrobank(MADE) Sculpture Competition
Specifications of the Freestanding Sculpture Piece
Size: • Minimumvolumetricsize: 1,728 cu. inches
• Maximumvolumetricsize: 13,824 cu. inches • excludingbase,basesizeshould
not exceed 2 inches Medium: one or a combination of the following materials: resin, fiberglass, glass, metal,
wood, stone (concrete), fired clay (e.g.terracotta or stoneware)
Weight: not more than 40 kilos Theme: The organizers shall accept entries
with open theme but the organizers emphasizes the role of art in the
promotion of Philippine Culture and its contribution to defining our Filipino
identity. • ThepieceshouldNOTbesignedbytheartist • Theuseofamediumotherthanthespecified
medium will be a ground for disqualification
Submission Mechanics What to Submit:1 Seven pcs 5x7 inches coloured photo prints of the
sculpture piece in the following format:-- (2) Full shot in an upright position - Front & Back-- (3) Close up shots capturing three angles and
important details-- (2) Progressive shots while sculpture is being done
• Plainbackground(lightordarkcolored)• Consistentwiththeactualwork,nocolor modification, lighting effects, or digital enhancements
allowed• Photoswillnotbereturned• Refer to notes at the back on how to photograph
your artwork 2 Reproductionororiginalcopyoftheworkingdrawings
/ sketches / studies of the sculpture piece.• workingdrawingswillnotbereturned

Rules & Regulations
Competition
1 DONOTSENDTHEACTUALARTWORK. Onlythesemifinalistswillberequiredtosendtheir
work. The Foundation will inform the semifinalists as to when and how they will send their actual work. When submitting an artwork, make sure that it has protectivepackaging.
2 The winning entries in each category shall automatically become properties of the Foundation.
3 InlinewiththeobjectiveoftheCompetitiontodevelopcreativity,originality,andartisticexcellence,all entries must be originalworks wholly executed by the contestant. Entries which are copies of existing worksintermsofcompositionwillbedisqualifiedevenif they are rendered in a different style, medium, color scheme,orevenifotherelementshavebeenadded.• Digitalprintingoncanvas/papermaybegrounds
for disqualification.
4 The entry must nothavebeensubmittedtoanyotherCompetitionsandpreviousYPAandMADEcompetitions.
5 The Foundation shall select the members of the Board of Judges. The selection of the members of the BoardofJudgesshallbethesoleprerogativeoftheFoundation.
6 Judges may decide not to award prizes if the entries do not meet certain artistic and Competition requirements. All decisions of the Board of Judges as to whether or not an entry or contestant complied with the rules and regulations, as well as in all aspects of the Competition, SHALLBEFINAL.
7 TheFoundationandtheBoardofJudgeshavetheright to decide if special recognitions such as special citationandotherspecialawardswillbegiven.
8 The Foundation may purchase any artwork at a price agreed upon by the Foundation and the artist.
9 TheFoundationreservestherighttowithdrawanyaward and/or cash prize at any time should the contestantviolateanyoftherulesandregulationsof the Competitions or if the Foundation deems, in any way, that granting the contestant the award will damage the reputation of the Foundation and/or Metrobank.
10 The contestant shall hold the Foundation, Metrobank, and/or any of their directors/ trustees, officers, or staff free and harmless for any entries, documents or artworks lost or damaged in transit or during storage or while in the possession of the aforementioned entitiesorindividuals.
11 TheFoundationreservestherighttousethenameand photo of the painter/sculptor and his/her entry free of charge for any broadcast, telecast, print or any other medium.
Exhibition
12 TheFoundationalsoreservestherighttoexhibittheentries, as it may deem fit and to decide which of the entries will be displayed during the exhibit as not all entries may be displayed.
13 All winners shall attend the awarding ceremonies.
14 Selling of semi-finalists' artworks by the artist / affiliated gallery while the artwork is still within the competition timeframe (submission - post awarding) is grounds for disqualification.
15 Should an artist be affiliated with a gallery or any art institution, the organizers will not be liable to any agreement signed by the artist prior or after joining the competition for any percentage of sale or proceeds acquired as a result of joining the competition.
16 The artist/entrant has the right to sell his/her artwork providedthatitisindicated/specifiedintheentryform.Failure to indicate a selling price automatically puts the art piece under "not for sale" and indicated selling price cannot be changed during exhibition.
17 Failure to comply with the above rules and regulations shall automatically disqualify the contestant.
18 Bysubmittingthesignedentryform,thecontestant agrees to abide by the rules and regulations of the Competition and submits toanybackgroundinvestigationthattheFoundation may conduct.
