• Known as the “Iron Man” of Sherwood because he very rarely missed a day of teaching and coaching during his career

• Considered the “Unsung Hero” as an asst. football coach for 31 years

• After SHS was volunteer coach for the Howard County Special Olympic Program (2001-2010)

• Graduated from Lewistown HS (Lewistown, PA) where he won the school’s Athletic Award for achievement
