Scrutineering Reminder that riders must be wearing their leathers and their machine must have the belly-pan off when presenting for scrutineering. Cameras will only be permitted if fixed and tethered to the bike to the scrutineers satisfaction.

Tyre Incentive Options for the following Classes

Riders must use Pirelli tyres in all races to be eligible for Cykel $ Prizes. (Cykel/Pirelli Incentive) There is no limit to the number of tyres you are allowed to use over the event.

Tyre make and type are open for all classes. Wets may be used by all classes if it is declared WET

MOTUL/FERODO Tourist Trophy Series Trophy and Prize Schedule

Prizes will be awarded for the Series as per below. Round medallions and Series trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class, as per the events schedule. If less than 10 competitors compete per round in a class,

trophies/prizes/prize money will only be awarded at the promoters discretion. Round medallions and prizes may be collected from the race secretaries office once results are final.

Entries and Cross Entries

A single entry is for both the Sprint and Tourist Trophy Series. Competitors graded A, B and C (D grade riders race as C Grade in the series) are eligible to enter provided they hold a current MA National Competition Licence. Cross Entry & Second Entry: Cross entry to another class within the same race is free and a Second entry into a class with

separate races will incur a fee of $50. A Junior entering a Senior class will pay the cost of the full Senior class and pay a $50 Second entry into the Junior class.

Entries will only be accepted on completion of an official entry form at https://prestonmotorcycleclubinc.wildapricot.org/ Late entries will incur a $50 late fee and will be accepted up until the day prior to the event at https://prestonmotorcycleclubinc.wildapricot.org/ In the event of cancellation of an entry before the meeting a $50 administration fee will be deducted from a refund which will be paid provided that the promoter is contacted confirming the withdrawal by 5.00pm the Thursday prior to the meeting. Length of races can be reduced according to conditions experienced. Events may be combined or cancelled depending on entries received. If less than 10 entries are received for any class the events for that class may be combined or cancelled. 10 Machines are required to constitute a class. Program of events may change. In the event of inclement weather or delays, races may be cancelled or shortened by the Clerk of Course in consultation with the Steward by up to 25%.

The promoters reserve the right to limit entries to any class if oversubscribed. Qualifying may apply if there are more than the allowed entries/machines for the circuit for any class are received. The Promoter reserves the right to postpone or abandon their meeting with the approval of steward. Entry fees will be refunded at the discretion of the Promoter should this occur.

Racing numbers will be allocated on the following priority:

1. National race numbers register. 2. State race numbers register. 3. Results from the 2014 Pirelli RR Series for the 10 highest places.

4. If possible and where no clash occur numbers allocated as requested.

ENTRY CONDITIONS

All entries to be completed on line at https://prestonmotorcycleclubinc.wildapricot.org/ Entries close the Thursday the week before the event (9 days). Late entries only accepted with the $50 late fee All machines must be presented for scrutineering with lower (solos) fairing removed. All machines are required to display the special Road Race Series sponsor stickers as per GCR 12.6.4.4, which will be supplied. All other Road Race Series stickers must be removed or obscured. The numbers on each machine must be of legible size and on correct background as per GCRs. Noise

All machines must comply with the General Competition Rules of Motorcycling Australia.

Machines over the noise limit as stated in the GCRs will be dealt with by Clerk of Course.

Subject to the Sound Control Officer and Clerk of Course approval of noise reduction measures the machine may be cleared to recommence racing.

A second infringement will result in immediate black-flagging and exclusion from the meeting. Grid Positions Grid positions for the Sprint series will be determined by Official Qualifying. No progressive grids. (Except OZBEARS) Grid positions for the TT series will be determined by fastest race times during the Saturday Sprint series. In the event of a failure of the timing system gridding will be at the discretion of senior officials. The Clerk of Course may exclude a competitor for safety reasons if he believes that the competitor may be a danger on the circuit because of their lack of riding skills or their qualifying time is over 115% of the fastest qualifying time of the class. Spilt grids maybe used to separate classes. Grid pattern will be 3,3,3,3 except for the handicap races. Track capacity as per track permit. Blue flags will be used for lapped riders.

Manner of Starting

Starting method for all events will be clutch starts. Spilt grids maybe used to separate some classes, a 10-20 second delay. Competitors leave pit lane/dummy grid and complete one warm-up lap. On return a red flag will be displayed at the start line. When all is ready having due regard to safety the flag official will leave the line, the starter will turn the lights to red for two to five seconds and then turn the red light off, which is the signal to start. Any competitor judged to have started before the red l ight goes off will be penalised according to GCRs with relegation, fine, time penalty or exclusion as determined by the Starter, Clerk of Course and/or Steward.

Road Race Series points

-Sprint Series classes will be conducted over 3 legs per round. -Tourist Trophy Series classes will be conducted over 2 legs per round. -Point scoring of events where applicable will be as per GCRs 15.25.7 (1st-25 pts and 2nd-20 pts etc). In the event of a tie for placings over all the legs the higher placed competitor in the final leg of the event will be awarded the position. 10 machines are required to constitute a Series in each class (excluding Junior classes) Impounding of Machines

Additional scrutineering/eligibility checks may be performed at any time during the meeting for safety, noise or eligibility. At the Clerk of Course request all machines must go to the designated impound area as directed by the race officials at the conclusion of each leg of each class. The series scrutineer may require motorcycles or parts to be substituted or surrendered for later evaluation. Unregistered Vehicles

Unregistered vehicles not entered in competition may not be used at a permitted event unless authorised by the Clerk of Course and under official supervision. NO PIT BIKES, PUSHBIKES, SCOOTERS, SKATEBOARDS, ROLLERBLADES, SKATES, UNICYCLES OR OTHER VEHICLES UNLESS REGISTERED. Hughie Hoare Memorial Endurance Races

No refuelling during the race. Each team must complete a compulsory one minute pit-stop (except Juniors) before the last lap board is shown. The pit-stop will start when the rider comes to a complete stop inside the STOP-BOX at the start of pit lane. A running stopwatch will be handed to the rider once he has started the pit-stop. It is the riders responsibility to hand the stopwatch to the pit-exit marshal before being released from pit lane after the one minute. During the pit-stop the team may affect a rider change or rider and machine change. The team may work on the machine during the pit-stop but the fuel tank may not be opened or fuel added to the machine (no refuelling). Change of Machine Where a competitor has two eligible machines for a class (Sprint and TT Series only), which have previously passed scrutineering a change may be made at the competitor’s discretion, except Endurance events. A change of machine is otherwise only permitted where written application is made to the Clerk of Course 15 minutes prior to the event in question. The machine must be of the same class as originally entered for and must have been scrutineered. Anti-Doping and Alcohol testing

All competitors and officials are advised that random testing may take place at any round as per the GCRs Ambulance insurance is compulsory for all competitors.

National Personal Accident Insurance-refer to the GCRs

PMCC reserves the right to decline any entry with the approval of the SCB.

Senior riders must hold a current MA Senior National Competition Licence Juniors must hold a current MA Junior National Competition Licence Junior licence holders must have the appropriate SCB dispensation or endorsement for the classes that they enter.

Appendix A 1. FORMULA 1 1.1 All Superbikes, Supersport, Multi cylinder GP bikes and any bike that does not qualify for F2 class.

2. FORMULA 2

2.1 All Formula 400, Twin Sprint, Supermono (Single cylinder production based engine), and Non GP bikes up to 550cc.

3. Twin Sprint 3.1 Subject to the required and permitted alterations set out below, Twin Sprint must: a) Carry all relevant compliance plates, (ADR); b) Be eligible for registration in all states and territories in which they complete; c) Be of a make and model lawfully sold in Australia;

d) Be as constructed by, or modified with the approval of, the manufacturer so as to conform with Australian design rules for normal road use; and e) Be two-cylinder four-stroke engine of a capacity up to 700cc. 3.2 Tyres; The choice of tyre type is optional. 3.3 To be permitted to compete, a machine, without rider, empty of fuel, but with all other fluids at optimum levels, must weigh no less than Engine capacity divided by 4 in Kg's. Example 650cc/4=162.5Kg. 3.4 The following must be removed: a) Headlamp; b) Tail lamp; c) Reflectors; d) Horns; e) Passenger footrests; f) Traffic indicators; g) Rear vision mirrors; h) Centre and side stands; i) Registration plate / bracket and label holder; Any sharp edges left by the removal of these components must be protected by a rolled edge or beading of minimum 3mm diameter. 3.5 Engine and gearbox breathing hoses and tubes, and the radiator overflow bottle vent, must exhaust into the airbox to the rear of the carburettor intakes. The lower airbox breather tube must be blocked. 3.6 The following maybe removed: a) Passenger handholds and footrests assemblies; b) Rear number plate bracket; 3.7 The following may be replaced or modified: a) Fairings, screen, rear body work, seat, mudguards, tank covers and frame side covers, but replacements must be the same in shape and appearance as the original or that from a different model but the same manufacturer; b) Mounting bracket for fairing, screen and instruments; c) Spark plug type, leads and caps; d) External gearing e) Brake pads, linings, brake hoses and master cylinder; f) Exhaust system; g) Front suspension springs and fork internal components but external appearance must remain unchanged, except for the fitment of external adjusters; h) Rear suspension springs and shocks; i) Fuel metering jets and air filter; j) Instruments; k) Handle bars and handle bar controls; l) Camshafts, but only with items from the same make and model of machine; m) Camshaft wheels to allow dialling.

3.8 The following may be added: a) Steering damper; b) Ride height adjuster; c) Ignition cut-out lanyard; d) Quick shifter; e) Rear sprocket chain guard; f) Power Commander or similar;

g) Engine end covers/protectors.

4. Pre-Modern

4.1 Subject to the required and permitted alterations set out below, Pre-Modern must: a) Be a model manufactured and sold over 10 years ago as of the start of the calendar year (Pre 1/1/2005). Machines made 11/04 and 12/04 are considered to be 2005 models as they are different to 2004 models. Machines built after this date maybe included if there is no difference from the earlier model. Final decision on the year of manufacture rests in the hands of the Preston Motorcycle Club. 4.2 The choice of tyre type is optional.

4.3 The following must be removed: a) Headlamp; b) Tail lamp; c) Reflectors; d) Horns; e) Traffic indicators; f) Rear vision mirrors; g) Centre and side stands; h) Registration plate / bracket and label holder; Any sharp edges left by the removal of these components must be protected by a rolled edge or beading of minimum 3mm diameter. 4.4 Engine and gearbox breathing hoses and tubes, and the radiator overflow bottle vent, must exhaust into the airbox to the rear of the carburettor intakes. The lower airbox breather tube must be blocked. 4.5 The following may be replaced or modified: a) Fairings, screen, rear body work, and rear seat so as to provide for the mounting of a rear number plate, riders seat, mudguards, air intake lids in bodywork, air intake tubes, tank covers and side covers, but replacements must be the same in shape and appearance as the original; b) Mounting bracket for fairing, screen and instruments but replacements must be mounted in the original position on the frame; c) Footrests and foot controls, but replacements must be mounted on the frame at the original mounting points; d) Spark plug type, leads and caps; e) External gearing; f) Brake pads, linings, discs and brake hoses; g) Exhaust system; h) Front suspension springs and fork internal components but external appearance must remain unchanged; i) Rear suspension damper unit and springs; j) Wheels and axles; k) Clutch plates and springs; l) Valve retainers and valve springs; m) Head gasket; n) Fuel metering jets, needles and air filter, but not carburettor slides or other castings; o) Instruments; p) Handle bars and handle mounted levers, master cylinders and controls; q) Footrests and foot controls, but replacements must be mounted on the frame at the original mounting points; r) Engine end castings, but replacements must be of at least the same thickness, weight and contour as the original; s) Fasteners for fitting external components where the motorcycle manufacturer has no specified torque setting or is less than 10Nm; t) Pistons, cams and conrods; u) Gearbox drive dogs may be undercut. 4.6 The following may be added: a) Steering damper; b) Ride height adjuster;

c) Ignition cut-out lanyard; d) Rear sprocket chain guard; e) Speedshifter gear change device. 4.7 Grand Prix and FIM 750cc Superbike machines are allowed but must be as raced in the period. If there were rules at the time that allowed more modifications than these rules allow then they can be used, i.e. Superbike rules from 1991. Most rules are available from old GCRs. 4.8 Classes include the following- a) F1- over 500cc, including i) F1a- Superbikes and Grand Prix Machines, models sold or built after 1998, ii) F1b- Supersport and Superstock 600, models sold or built after 1998, iii) F1c- All other machines.

b) F2- Up to 500cc, including i) F2a- Production type machines between 349cc and 501cc, ii) F2b- Production type machines under 350cc.

5. Clubsport Lites 250cc 4 stroke production motorcycles and 2 stroke 125-150cc production motorcycles Eligibility For Clubsport Lites Series: PRELUDE: The aim of these rules is to outline the specification of motorcycles for the Clubsport Lites. Emphasis has been put on rules which will: a. Keep machine costs within limits b. Leave some room for machine development within set limits

It should be stated that the aim of this class is to provide a cost effective alternative to existing classes. Clubsport Lites rules The Clubsport Lites series is for all 250cc, two and four cylinder, multi cylinder road 4 stroke Motorcycles fitted with CV carbs only and 125-150cc 2 stroke road bikes 5.1. Subject to the required and permitted alterations set out below, Clubsport Lites machines must 5.1.1. Be of a make and model lawfully sold in Australia or Japanese import of that model 5.1.2. Be as constructed by the manufacturer so as to conform to Australian Design Rules for normal road use. 5.1.3. Be a four stroke, two or four cylinder engine, with a capacity of no more than 260cc or 125-150cc two stroke single cylinder. 5.1.4. Some modification may be made to older machines to conform to latest model specification. Requests for approval should be forwarded in writing- 5.2. Tyres: The choice of tyre type is optional. Wet weather tyres will be permitted if the race is declared a "wet race', 5.3. The following must be removed: 5.3.1. Headlamp,Tail lamp, Reflectors, Traffic indicators 5.3.2. Horn 5.3.3. Rear vision mirrors 5.3.4. Centre and side stands 5.3.5. Registration plate / bracket and label holder, and 5.3.6. Passenger handholds and footrest assembles. Any sharp edges left by the removal of the above components must be protected by a rolled edge or beading of a minimum 3mm diameter. Modifications: 5.4. Only the following may be replaced or modified: 5.4.1. Fairing, screen, rear bodywork, seat, mudguards, tank covers and side covers. All unfaired motorcycles may be fitted with a bikini fairing. 5.4.2. Mounting bracket for fairing, screen and instruments, but replacements must be mounted in the original position on the frame. 5.4.3. Handlebars, handlebar mounted levers, master cylinders and controls. 5.4.4. Instruments and handlebar switches. 5.4.5. A steering damper may be fitted. 5.4.6. Fuel metering jets, but not carburettor slides or needles, 5.4.7. Spark plug type, leads and caps. 5.4.8. External gearing. 5.4.9. Brake pads, linings and brake hoses (note: brake callipers and discs are to be of the same type as original model range. A second calliper and disc of same type may be added). 5.4.10. Rear Sub-frame. 5.4.11. Instruments and associated cables. 5.4.12. Chain guard and registration plate brackets. 5.4.13. Air injection pollution control system, including air filters. 5.4.14. Carburettor anti-icing device,

5.4.15. Rear fender 5.4.16. Cylinder Head and cylinder block mating surfaces may be machined. 5.4.17. Gearbox drive dogs may be undercut- 5.4.18. Exhaust system 5.4.19. Footrests and foot controls, but the replacements must be mounted on the frame at the original mounting points 5.4.20. Cylinder head valve seats may be re-cut. 5.4.21. Ignition igniters 5.4.22. Clutch plates and springs 5.4.23. Engine end casings 5.4.24. Radiator expansion tank. 5.4.25. Fasteners for fitting external components where the motorcycle manufacturer has no specified torque setting or it is less than 10Nm 5.4.26. Head Gasket.

5.4.27. Front and rear suspension, springs and damping parts may be modified or replaced, but the external appearance of the suspension must not be changed. 5.4.28. Engine cam wheels may be slotted to alter valve timing. 5.4.29. Camshafts must remain standard in lift and duration. The following must be completed. 5.5. Plugs or caps, which, if removed, permit the discharge of any lubricating, cooling or hydraulic fluids, must be wire-locked or otherwise secured in a manner approved by the scrutineer in the tightened position. 5.6. Where flexible oil lines other than those supplied as standard equipment by the original machine manufacturer are used, they must incorporate high-pressure hose secured by high- pressure connections. 5.7. All hoses must be securely fitted and guarded to prevent contact with the ground, tyres and other moving parts over the full movement of the suspension. 5.8. The only liquid coolant permitted is water. 5.9. Lubricating, cooling and hydraulic fluid levels must be maintained within manufacturers' specifications. 5.10. A self-closing throttle must be fitted 5.11. All machines must be fitted with an integral lower fairing dam or separate catch tray (with the exception of production based machines without a lower fairing, which have or are eligible for ADR compliance), which must be constructed of a material and capacity to trap and hold at least five litres of Engine oil and or Engine coolant with no more than two holes, each of 25mm, which may only be open in wet race conditions. 5.12. Engine and gearbox breathing hoses and tubes, and the radiator overflow bottle vent, must exhaust into the air box to the rear of the carburettor intakes. The lower air box breather tube must be blocked. Fuel 5.13. Fuel for Clubsport Lites Series racing must: 5.13.1. Be unleaded 5.13.2. Be no more than 100 RON 5.13.3. Contain no additives other than those added at the point of manufacture 5.13.4. Be readily available from retail petrol pumps within Australia. Brakes 5.14. At least two efficient brakes must operate independently of each other on the front and rear wheels.

6. THUNDERBIKE 6.1 For machines that do not comply with any other classes within the series. This also includes single, twin and triple cylinder machines. Other machines include naked machines and over size capacities (ie Kawasaki ZX636).

7. FORMULA 400 General Rules (Refer to GCRs for standard rules across all classes for safety etc.): The bike must be manufactured pre 2000 No modification main frame, triple clamps or front forks (external) Standard Wheel front and rear, no lightweight rims No Fuel Injection or Turbo charging No fuel additives beyond 100 RON No removal of starter system Minimum weight of 150kg with tank removed Engine bore and stroke within capacity limits – refer GCR 12.4.5 2008 Formula Specific Rules: Any modifications not included below are deemed not allowed.
