Participating on a sports team is a huge part of Saint Saviour life. The Panda has been our mascot since the 1930s and earned his name “MacArthur” in the 1940s.

In the 1950s and 1960s, Saviourites traveled to Washington as part of their schooling. This changed in the late 1960s and through the years, students have ventured outside the US to places like France, Italy, Greece and Scotland.

The Senior Prom has been held at many venues over the years with the longest run at the Plaza Hotel and while the music may have changed from orchestras to DJs, the happy faces and beautiful dresses remain the same.

Wearing white gowns and carrying red roses, graduation is a time for Saviourites to refl ect upon their four years on 6th Street with fond memories as they make that fi nal walk down the street to Saint Saviour Church (where graduation has taken place since the 1960s).

Song Contest is a long standing Saint Saviour tradition – originally the cheers from the winning Song Contest class were used by cheerleaders throughout the school year.

During WWII, the Chemistry lab was built to provide Saviourites with an opportunity to study Science, a growing fi eld for women at that time. This same lab (with some updates) is still used today as our young women prepare for careers not only in Science but also in Math, Engineering and Technology (aka STEM).
