Advanced Placement and Transfer Credits

AP Credit: The College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Program scores may not arrive until July. These scores must be submitted by the College Board directly to Purdue University.

Dual Credit: If you have taken college courses in Indiana while in high school or at another University, you may receive direct transfer credit if the courses were taken for dual credit (high school and college). You must submit official transcripts to the Office of Admissions. Credit Evaluation will send you a letter to determine if the credit can be used for college credit.

Registering for Classes� Go to lab in WTHR

� Register promptly at 3:15 p.m. � Once in lab, YOU MAY NOT USE YOUR CELL PHONE� When in the lab:

� You will Register for Classes on myPurdue with the PIN provided on the Form 23A attached to your email.

� Register for 15-16 credit hours to graduate in four years & required for specific scholarships (i.e. 21st Century Scholars) and financial aid

� After STAR, how to locate PIN #:� Login to myPurdue� Click on Academic Tab (next to financial)� Under Quick Links on the left, click on Registration PIN (Under Registration

Tools)� Select Fall 2015 and press submit

� You will receive a NEW PIN # for each semester, which is why it is IMPORTANT to attend a Registration Meeting in October (Spring Registration) and March (Summer/Fall Registration)!

� After today, you will not be allowed to go back in and change your schedule until July 13th until July 15th at 11:59 pm and July 20th until August 31st.

Foreign Language Test Out

� Recommended!� Freshmen may not receive credit for level 10100 until

level 10200 has been passed.� Ex: If a student has tested into SPAN 10200, they may

not receive the credit for 10100 until 10200 is taken and completed.

� A student is only allowed to test out of 12 credits maximum.

� Form 231 is in your folder, take this to the testing center.
