Recognizing excellence in leadership, the National Assistant Principal of the Year is produced in part-nership with the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP).

National Assistant Principal of the Year for Texas

Rep. Jimmie Don Aycock District 54 (R-Killeen)

Representative Aycock was elected to the Texas Legislature in 2006. He represents House District 54, which includes the western portion of Bell County and Lampasas County.

Rep. Aycock is chairman of the House Public Education Committee and serves as an appointed member of the Appropriations subcommittee on Education.

As Chair of the House Public Education Committee, Rep. Aycock works hard to address the concerns of a diverse group of constituents with fairness, integrity and humor. He is a passionate advocate for all students and for high quality public education. His opposition to excessive testing has resulted in significant changes in the Texas assessment program. Our state and our students are stronger because of Jimmie Don Aycock’s leadership and service to public education.

The Tribute to Texas Children recognizes an individual(s), company or institution for outstanding service to Texas education.

Sandi Borden Tribute to Texas Children Award

In Memoriam Callie Low, 1981-2014

Last August we bid a sad farewell to a member of our TEPSA family. Callie Low, who oversaw Exhibits, was a familiar presence at many Summer Conferences, and an important part of the TEPSA team. We miss her and are grateful for the time we had with her.
