MEDIA CREDENTIALSMedia members wishing to cover the Texas Tech baseball team at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park during the 2015 season must be issued a working credential from the Texas Tech Athletics Communications Office. All requests for both media and photo credentials must be emailed at least two days in advance of the game date to Scott Lacefield, Associate Director of Athletics Communications ([email protected]). Requests are honored from sports editors of daily and weekly newspapers, editors of sports periodicals, and sports directors of radio and television stations who broadcast regularly scheduled daily sports reports and talk shows along with online media who consistently cover college baseball. Credentials can be picked up in the Athletics Communications Office (south end of Jones AT&T Stadium) or at will call (one hour before first pitch), which is located at the main entrance to Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.

PRESS BOX SERVICESA complete NCAA box score and pertinent game facts will be distributed to members of the working media following the conclusion of the game. Game notes, statistics, lineups and rosters are provided prior to first pitch. Information can also be found at texastech.com. A pre-game meal is served in the press box approximately 1 1/2 hours prior to first pitch on select home games.

FOLLOW THE RED RAIDERSFollow Tech all season on Twitter @TechAthletics, @TechGameday, @TTU_Baseball and @ScottLacefield, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and the official website of Texas Tech Athletics, www.TexasTech.com. TTU offers live video (home games) and audio streaming for all Tech games.

PHOTOGRAPHERSCredentials for sideline photographers will be issued to working press on the basis of circulation with priority granted to agencies covering the participating schools on a regular basis. Tech adheres to NCAA photography policies. Photographers are permitted on the baseball field but must remain within the marked areas at the ends of both dugouts.

VIDEO HIGHLIGHTSBroadcast quality highlights of home games can be obtained via FTP. To receive information contact Scott Lacefield ([email protected]) for login information.

RADIO BOOTHSDan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park is equipped with two radio booths - one for Texas Tech and one for the visiting team. ISDN lines are available in each booth as well as a dedicated phone line. For information on the ISDN and phone lines, please contact Scott Lacefield.

INTERVIEWING HEAD COACH TIM TADLOCKAll interview requests with head coach Tim Tadlock must be arranged through Scott Lacefield in the Athletics Communications Office.

PLAYER INTERVIEWSMedia requesting player interviews are required to contact Scott Lacefield as far in advance as possible for availability. Players who are made available - depending on their

schedules - will speak to the media prior to the start of practice. Practice normally begins at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays with the exception of gameday and travel days. Requested player interviews will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Texas Tech Baseball Stadium Club, located on the second level of the stadium down the right-field line. The team will usually NOT practice on Mondays, therefore, if a media member wishes to do something that requires more time, Monday or the scheduled off day during the week is an ideal day for this. Contact Scott Lacefield in the Athletics Communications Office to set up a phone interview or a special request with a player. Individual phone numbers for all Texas Tech coaches and student-athletes WILL NOT be given to the media.

PRACTICEAll team practices are open to the media and the public. Practices will normally begin at 2:30 p.m. and end around 5-5:30 p.m. during the week. All media in attendance are required to view practice from the stands. No media will be allowed on the field at any time, unless arranged through Scott Lacefield of the Athletics Communications office.

LIVE TELEVISIONTelevision stations are welcome to conduct live interviews from Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park and the stadium can easily accommodate network game coverage. Live interviews will be conducted outside the fence overlooking right field and television trucks can be parked in that area. Please notify Scott Lacefield at least 24 hours in advance at (817) 691-3786 for live television setup.

POST-GAME INTERVIEWSThe Texas Tech clubhouse is closed to the media. Texas Tech players and coaches will be made available in the Baseball Stadium Club following a brief team meeting. Coach Tadlock and selected players will be made available to the media following the game. If you have questions on where post-game interviews are located, contact Scott Lacefield (817-691-3786).

The Texas Tech baseball program received private donations for a $5 million renovation to its home stadium prior to the 2012 season which made the home of Red Raider baseball one of the best on-campus collegiate baseball facilities in the country. Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park opened in 2012 with many notable structur-al improvements, including 10 luxury suites, a new press box complete with radio, television and broadcast areas along with a club level with outdoor seating for 75 individuals. Additional highlights of the renovation include a shading structure that covers the area in the center portion of the grandstands, the addition of 1,154 chair-back seats that replaced aluminum bleacher seating, a tensioned back-stop netting that provides an unobstructed view of the playing field, additional five rows of field seat-ing that places the fans closer to the action, new elevator for club/suite/press box access, banners showcasing the history of Tech baseball and a circular landscaped seating area with brick inlaid Double T in front of the entrance of the stadium. Already owning one of the top home-field advantages in the nation, Texas Tech looks to continue its home-field dominance where it has won 76 percent of its home games the past 24 years (596-187-1). In 2014 the Texas Tech baseball program made history on its home field for the first time hosting an NCAA Super Regional, when the Red Raiders swept No. 16 College of Charleston in back-to-back 1-0 shutouts to advance to the NCAA College World Series. Tech tied a school record for wins at home (33) in 2014 while hosting 4,811 Red Raider fans back-to-back days during Techs Road to Omaha. Techs fan base has been an integral component to the Red Raiders success over the years in Lubbock, as Texas Techs fans have ranked among the top 31 in the nation over the past 17 years, including averaging 2,553 fans in 2014 which ranked 29th in the country. The Red Raiders had a total of 89,355 fans attend Red Raider baseball games in 2014 a figure that ranked 20th in the nation. Texas Techs stadium has been home to various NCAA Regional and conference postseason events as Tech has been selected to host an NCAA baseball regional on three occasions. In 1999, Texas Tech hosted the four-team NCAA Regional in Lubbock and ranked sixth among the 16 regionals in attendance as the tourney drew a total of 19,869 fans to see Texas Tech, Rice, Rutgers and Wisconsin-Milwaukee play. Tech averaged 2,838 fans during the seven-game tournament. The 1997 NCAA Regional drew 4,992 fans to see Tech play Texas State. Overall, the 10 games in the 1997 NCAA Regional drew 23,407 total fans, an average of 2,304 fans per game. In 1996, an aver-age of 2,808 fans attended per game as Tech hosted a six-team NCAA Regional. Texas Tech also hosted the 1996 Southwest Conference Tournament. The four-day event, which drew all seven SWC teams for the first time in history, saw 31,542 fans enter the gates, an average of 2,628 per game. Several renovations have helped make the home of Red Raider Baseball one of the top venues across the country. In 2001 the university showed its support of with a $1.7 million project for a new clubhouse, outfield fence and interior brick facade. Two years later, Tech officials made another addition with a new scoreboard, complete with a state-of-the-art video screen. Texas Techs in-house television de-partment provides Tech fans a first-class live video screen that offers instant replays and various camera angles to help increase the excitement of the game. This project was approximately $600,000. With the addition of FieldTurf for the playing surface installed in 2007 and a remodel of the clubhouse in the summer of 2009, Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park has become one of the premier college baseball facilities in the nation.
