Over 60 years of heritage

One summer day back in 1951, the first Land Cruiser, then called

the BJ, started up the side of Mt. Fuji and accomplished a feat

no other vehicle in history had managed to achieve. It climbed to

Checkpoint No. 6, a spot so high up the mountainside it w as thought

to be unreachable by motor vehicle. The event signaled more than

just the triumph of one vehicle over a formidable challenge. It marked

the birth of a legend.

Since its impressive debut, Land Cruiser has developed a loyal

follow ing unmatched by any other SUV in the w orld. From the

rugged machine of those early days, to the model of refinement it is today, Land Cruiser continues to be a symbol of capability,

innovation and quality.

5.7L V8 Dual Independent VVT-i

With Land Cruiser’s pow er and torque at your disposal, even the most

inhospitable terrain w ill not intimidate you. The 5.7-liter Double Overhead

Cam (DOHC) 32-valve V8 employs Dual Independent Variable Valve

Timing w ith intelligence (VVT-i) and Acoustic Control Induction System

(ACIS). These advanced technologies help the engine produce 381 hp and

401 lb.-ft. of torque.

Robust Towing

Sooner or later in your travels you may need to pull something. And w hen

that time arrives, you’ll be ready w ith the capable Land Cruiser. Its pow erful

V8, 6-speed automatic transmission and torque-enhancing gear ratios

endow it w ith an incredible 8200-lb. tow ing capacity. ]

Trailer-Sway Control (TSC)[2 ]

Stability is crucial to tow ing and Land Cruiser has you covered. It features a

technology called Trailer-Sw ay Control (TSC), w hich helps counteract vehicle

yaw caused by trailer oscillation, helping keep you in command at all times.

Multi-Te rrain Monitor1 ]

This remarkable feature gives you a look

at the front, side and rear areas of the

vehicle from the comfort of the driver’s

seat w hile off-roading. Show n on the 8-in. navigation screen, the images help

you double-check your blind spots and

examine your immediate surroundings for potential trouble.

Multi-Te rrain Select

Multi-terrain Select ensures that the driver

has the maximum amount of traction

possible for any off-road scenario. The driver

chooses from five available modes — Mud

& Sand, Rock, Rock & Dirt, Loose Rock

and Mogul — to best match the terrain

being negotiated. The system optimizes

throttle and brake control, helping to limit w heelspin and w heel lockup.

Multi-Te rrain

4-Wheel ABS with EBD

ABS sensors detect w heel lockup during

emergency braking situations, and the

system helps compensate by “pulsing”

individual w heel brakes. Land Cruiser’s

ABS also features Electronic Brake-force

Distribution (EBD), w hich redistributes

brake force to help keep the rear w heels

from locking up during sudden braking

situations. By adapting to off-road

conditions such as sand, gravel or mud,

this standard Multi-terrain 4-w heel ABS is ideally suited for adventure.

Variable Gear

Ratio Steering (VGRS)

When driving at speed in a straight line,

you don’t w ant the vehicle to change

direction w ith every slight movement of

the steering w heel. In tow n, how ever,

w hen negotiating tight turns and w hen

parking, you w ant the steering to be

responsive. VGRS is designed to keep

Land Cruiser’s steering relaxed at speed,

and progressively more responsive as

your speed drops.

Torsen® [2 ]

Limited-Slip Differe ntial

The Torsen, or torque-sensing,

differential is engineered to automatically

send more torque to the w heel or axle

w ith more traction, helping provide

greater grip and better turning on uncertain surfaces.

4WD w ith Active Traction Control (A-TRAC )

The only thing better than the confidence of 4WD is

4WD w ith Active Traction Control (A-TRAC) and a

Torsen®[1] locking center differential. By interpreting

data from the ABS w heel-speed sensors, A-TRAC

can tell if a drive w heel is turning faster than a non-

drive w heel, w hich indicates loss of traction. The

system can then automatically reduce engine pow er

until the w heel that is slipping slow s and regains

traction. If reducing engine pow er isn’t enough, the braking system w ill gradually slow that w heel

through pulsed brake action.

5-Speed Craw l Control (CRAW L )[2]

Go w here few other vehicles can. Craw l Control

(CRAWL) helps control the throttle and brake in tough

terrain allow ing the driver to focus on steering, and

w ith Off-road Turn Assist (OTA), negotiation of tight corners and off-road drivability are enhanced.

Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS )

Many traditional suspension systems perform w ell on the highw ay, but fall short w hen it comes

to off-road performance. KDSS automatically optimizes suspension performance both on and

off the pavement. On the road, it helps suppress body roll to enhance cornering performance.

Off-road, it relaxes sw ay control on rough terrain for increased w heel articulation. This helps tires maintain contact w ith the ground on uneven terrain and minimizes body tilt.

Land Cruiser is equipped w ith an

independent double-w ishbone suspension

w ith coil springs and stabilizer bar up front,

and a 4-link rear w ith coil springs stabilizer

bar and semi-floating axle in the rear.

Trustw orthy? You bet. Land Cruiser’s reputation is riding on it.

Land Cruiser’s underside is equipped w ith

reinforced skid plates to help protect the

front suspension, radiator, fuel tank and

transfer case.

3 Rigid Frame 4 Stainle ss Steel Exha ust

Land Cruiser boasts the strength of body-

on-frame construction. Using high-tensile

steel, our engineers optimized the shape

and thickness of the frame components

to help increase joint strength and keep

vehicle curb w eight dow n. In addition, key suspension components have been

optimized to enhance overall ride quality.

In addition to being corrosion resistant,

Land Cruiser’s exhaust system has been

designed for performance. To help reduce

back pressure, tw o independent exhaust

tubes have been used to transport exhaust

from either side of the V8 engine to the main

muffler. Plus, the edges on the outer muffler

casing have been removed to enhance uneven-terrain driving performance.

5 6-Speed Automatic 6 Multi-Terra in 4-Wheel ABS

Land Cruiser’s automatic transmission

not only offers the smooth shifting of six

speeds, but also incorporates advanced

features such as Electronically Controlled

automatic Transmission w ith intelligence

(ECT-i) sequential shift mode and uphill/ dow nhill shift logic.

ABS sensors detect w heel lockup during

emergency braking situations, and the

system helps compensate by “pulsing”

individual w heel brakes. Land Cruiser’s

ABS also features Electronic Brake-force

Distribution (EBD), w hich redistributes

brake force to help keep the rear w heels

from locking up during sudden braking

situations. By adapting to off-road

conditions such as sand, gravel or mud,

1 Rain-Se n sing Windshie ld Wipers

Using a combination of LEDs that send out

infrared rays and photo diodes that receive

the rays, the sensor on Land Cruiser’s rain-

sensing w indshield w iper system is designed

to detect w ater on the w indshield and adjust

the w iper speed accordingly. The w ipers are

fully automatic, but also have a manual control

for conventional operation.

2 Headlight Cleaners

1

3

2

Concealed in the front bumper, Land Cruiser’s

headlight cleaner system uses a high-pressure

pump to lift sprayers from the bumper, and

then rinses the headlights w ith w indshield

w iper fluid. The system employs a precise fan pattern to help keep fluid spray off the

w indshield and hood.

3 High Intensity Discharge (HID)

Headlights (and LED Accent Lights)

Capable of producing w hiter, more brilliant light

than a traditional halogen bulb of the same

size, HID lightbulbs also use less electricity and

last several times longer. HID lights are fi lled

w ith pressurized xenon gas that is ignited by a

pair of electrodes, effectively turning the gas

into a w hite-hot fi lament.

1 Pre-Collision System (PCS)[1 ] 4 Active Front Headrests[3] 7 Star Safety System™

Using a radar unit located in the vehicle’s front

grille, PCS monitors the position of the vehicle

relative to other vehicles and certain objects in

the road directly ahead. If PCS determines

that a collision is imminent, the Brake Assist

(BA)[2] system is placed in standby mode, a

w arning is displayed and a buzzer sounds. If PCS determines that a collision is unavoidable,

the system w ill still alert the driver via a w arning

light, w arning display and buzzer, apply the

brakes and automatically retract the driver and

front passenger seatbelts to help prepare for

such a scenario.

2 Crumple Zones

An important element of occupant protection,

crumple zones are structurally engineered to

absorb and dissipate the energy of a collision by

a process know n as controlled deformation.

3 Side-Impact Door Beams To help provide extra occupant protection w hen the vehicle is struck from the side, steel

beams are located inside all doors and

designed to absorb energy and reduce the chance of intrusion into the cabin.

In certain low er-speed, rear-end collisions, a

bracket and cable system in the low er region of

the front seats trigger the upw ard movement of the headrests to help position them to the

back of the occupants’ heads.

5 Ten Airbags[4 ] and More

Land Cruiser comes w ith ten standard airbags

that cover every row of seats and include driver

and front passenger knee airbags. The front seats

also incorporate active front headrests, w hich

can help reduce the severity of w hiplash injuries.

6 Safety Connect® [5 ]

Via Toyota’s 24/7 call center, available Safety

Connect® offers subscribers helpful features

such as Emergency Assistance, Stolen Vehicle

Locator, Roadside Assistance and Automatic

Collision Notification. Safety Connect® also

offers the reliability of embedded cellular and GPS technology.

The 2015 Land Cruiser, like every new Toyota,

comes standard w ith the Star Safety System,™ a

suite of six advanced safety features designed

to help keep drivers out of harm’s w ay. On

Land Cruiser, the system includes Vehicle

Stability Control (VSC),6] Active Traction Control

(A-TRAC), Multi-terrain 4-w heel Anti-lock

Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force

Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and Smart Stop Technology ® (SST ).7]

8 Tire Pressure Monitor

DISCLOSU R E S

1. Toy ota striv es to build vehicles to match customer interest and thus they typically are built with popular options and option packages. Not all options/packages are available separately and some may not be available in all regions of the country. See toy ota.com for information about options/packages commonly available in your area. If you would pref er a vehicle without any or with dif ferent options, contact your dealer to check for current availability or the possibility of placing a special

order. 2. Bef ore towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions in your Owner’s Manual.

The maximum y ou can tow depends on base curb weight plus the total weight of any cargo, occupants, and added v ehicle equipment. “Added vehicle equipment” includes additional standard/optional equipment and accessories added by the

manuf acturer, dealers, and/or vehicle owners. The only way to be certain of your vehicle’s exact curb weight is to weigh y our v ehicle without passengers or cargo. 3. Be sure to obey traffic regulations and maintain awareness of road and traffic

conditions at all times. Av ailability and accuracy of the inf ormation provided by the navigation system is dependent upon many factors. Use common sense when rely ing on information prov ided. Services and programming subject to change.

Serv ices not available in every city or roadway ; updates may be available at an additional cost from your dealer. See your Navigation System Owner’s Manual f or details. 4. Be sure to obey traffic regulations and maintain awareness of road and traf fic conditions at all times. Apps/services vary by phone/carrier; f unctionality depends on many factors. Select apps use large amounts of data; you are responsible for charges. Apps and serv ices subject to change. See toyota.com/entune

f or details. 5. The backup camera does not prov ide a comprehensive view of the rear area of the vehicle. You should also look around outside your vehicle and use your mirrors to confirm rearward clearance. Cold weather will limit effectiveness

and v iew may become cloudy. 6. SiriusXM serv ices require a subscription after 3-month trial period, and are sold separately or as a package. Subscriptions governed by SiriusXM Customer Agreement; see available at www.siriusxm.com. If you decide to continue your SiriusXM service at the end of your complimentary trial, the plan you choose will automatically renew and bill at then-current rates until you call 1-866-635-2349 to cancel.Fees and programming subject

to change. Av ailable only to those at least 18 years of age in the 48 contiguous United States and D.C. 7. Be sure to obey traffic regulations and maintain awareness of road and traffic conditions at all times. HD Radio™ Technology manufactured

under license f rom iBiquity Digital Corporation U.S. and Foreign Patents. HD Radio™ and the HD, HD Radio, and “Arc” logos are proprietary trademarks of iBiquity Digital Corp. 8. iTunes® Tagging is a registered trademark of Apple Inc. All rights

reserv ed. 9. May not be compatible with all mobile phones, MP3/WMA play ers and like models. 10. iPod® and iPhone® are registered trademarks of Apple Inc. All rights reserved. 11. Adv anced v oice recognition capabilities vary by head unit.

12. Apps/serv ices vary by phone/carrier; functionality depends on many factors. Select apps use large amounts of data; you are responsible for charges. Apps and services subject to change. See toyota.com/entune for details. 13. Concentrating

on the road should alway s be y our first priority while driv ing. Do not use the hands-free phone system if it will distract you. The Bluetooth® word mark and logos are registered trademarks owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and any use of such marks

by Toy ota is under license. A compatible Bluetooth®-enabled phone must f irst be paired. Phone perf ormance depends on sof tware, coverage and carrier. 14. PANDORA®, the PANDORA® logo, and the Pandora trade dress are trademarks or

registered trademarks of Pandora Media, Inc., used with permission. 15. The Multi-terrain Monitor does not prov ide a comprehensive view of the area surrounding the vehicle. You should also look around outside your vehicle and use your mirrors

to conf irm clearance. Cold weather will limit effectiveness and view may become cloudy. 16. Headphones are for passenger use only. Do not use while operating v ehicle. 17. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is designed to assist the driver and is

not a substitute for safe and attentive driving practices. Please see your Owner’s Manual f or important instructions and cautions. 18. The Toy ota Tire Pressure Monitor alerts the driver when tire pressure is critically low. For optimal tire wear and

perf ormance, tire pressure should be checked regularly with a gauge; do not rely solely on the monitor system. See your Owner’s Manual f or details. 19. The Smart Key System may interfere with some pacemakers or cardiac defibrillators. If you

hav e one of these medical devices, please talk to your doctor to see if you should deactivate this system. 20. HomeLink® is a registered trademark of Johnson Controls, Inc. 21. Available on select Toyota models. Contact with the Safety Connect®

response center is dependent upon the telematics device being in operativ e condition, cellular connection availability, navigation map data and GPS satellite signal reception, which can limit the ability to reach the response center or receive

emergency service support. Enrollment and Telematics Subscription Service Agreement required. One-year trial subscription available only with new v ehicle purchase of Safety Connect®-equipped vehicles. Additional subscription terms available;

charges v ary by subscription term selected. 22. Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Factors including

speed, road conditions and driv er steering input can all affect whether VSC will be ef fective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner’s Manual f or f urther details. 23. Brake Assist is designed to help the driv er take full advantage of

the benef its of ABS. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake-system maintenance and tire and road conditions. 24. Smart Stop Technology ® operates only in the event of certain

simultaneous brake and accelerator pedal applications. When engaged, the system will reduce power to help the brakes bring the v ehicle to a stop. Factors including speed, road conditions and driv er input can all impact stopping distance.

Smart Stop Technology ® is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving and does not guarantee instant stopping. Please see your Owner’s Manual f or f urther details. 25. All the airbag (AB) sy stems are Supplemental Restraint Systems. All ABs (if installed) are designed to inf late only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions: frontal and knee ABs typically inflate in frontal collisions; side and side curtain ABs in side collisions; Roll-Sensing Curtain ABs at a severe

tilt degree, roll or lateral G-force. In all other accidents, the ABs will not inflate. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating AB, always wear seatbelts, sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible and do not lean against the door.

Do not put objects in f ront of an AB or around the seatback. Do not use a rearward-f acing child seat in any front passenger seat. The f orce of an inflating AB may cause serious injury or death. See your Owner’s Manual f or f urther information/

warnings. 26. Activ e f ront headrests can help reduce the extent of whiplash in certain types of rear-end collisions. 27. The Pre-Collision System is designed to help reduce the crash speed and damage in certain f rontal collisions only. It is not

a collision-avoidance system and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. System effectiveness depends on many factors such as speed, driver input and road conditions. See your Owner’s Manual f or further information. 28. Trailer-Sway

Control (TSC) is an electronic sy stem designed to help the driv er maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute f or safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driv er steering input can all affect

whether TSC will be ef fective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner’s Manual f or f urther details. 29. Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) is designed to help minimize backward rolling on steep ascents. It is not a substitute f or safe

driv ing judgment and practices. Factors including grade, surface conditions and driver input can all affect whether HAC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner’s Manual f or f urther details. 30. The engine immobilizer

is a state-of-the-art anti-theft system. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or bring a Smart Key fob into the v ehicle, the key transmits an electronic code to the v ehicle. The engine will only start if the code in the transponder chip

inside the key or Smart Key fob matches the code in the vehicle’s immobilizer. Because the transponder chip is embedded in the key or Smart Key fob, it can be costly to replace. If you lose a key or Smart Key fob, your Toy ota dealer can help.

Alternativ ely, you can f ind a qualif ied independent locksmith to perform high-security key services by consulting your local Yellow Pages or by contacting www.aloa.org 31. Torsen® is a registered trademark of Zexel Torsen, Inc. 32. The Toy ota Land Cruiser is designed to meet most off-road driv ing requirements, but off-roading is inherently dangerous. Abusive use may result in bodily harm or v ehicle damage. Toy ota encourages responsible operation to protect you, your vehicle and

the env ironment. Seatbelts should be worn at all times. 33. Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and distribution. 34. 2015 EPA-estimated mileage. Actual mileage will v ary.
