Title: The Woodlands Cup Golf Tournament
Description: Woodlands Cup Golf Tournament brochure
Programs: Photoshop, InDesign
Date: December 5, 2015
Course: Comm 130 – Visual Communication
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Objectives: To create a stimulating brochure to register golfers toplay in order to raise money for charity.
Process: Multiple processes, tools, and skills were used in this project. Using InDesign, spe-cifically the pen tool, I created the curved lines. Originally they were to represent the path of a golf ball. The picture placement of the images were used and the correct paragraph alignment. In Photoshop I took the image of the golfer’s feet on the back middle and cut out from the full image, than inserted it into InDesign and used the wrap text process.
BROCHURE

Course: Comm 130 – Visual Communication
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Objectives: Create a logo for a Import/Export Company that fulfils there heritage, while giv-ing them a updated look.
Process: I used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Notepad++ to write and edit the HTML and CSS code. The pen tool was arduously used to created both the rope and ship. All aspects of the ship and rope were used 100% with the pen tool.
LETTERHEAD
Title: ZWATT
Description: ZWAT is an online outdoor and survival prep store that offers products/apparel for the serious preppers.
Programs: Illustrator and InDesign
Date: November 7, 2015
Course: Comm 130 – Visual Communication
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Objectives: Create stationary for a new business.
Process: I chose to use the pen tool as I feel much more comfortable with that to create the logo. The design was created as a play on words from the SWAT team. The use of lines cre-ates a flow all the way out to the tag line. Within the design you can see mountains and trees to play along with the outdoors. The letterhead I brought over the background picture of the backpack to bring consistency with both stationary used a solid stroke line to go along with the strokes in the logo. All the colors along with the red triangle are consistent.

MONTAGE
Title: Good vs Evil
Description: This is a Montage project that portrays the constant fight of good vs evil that dwells in all of us and has been since the angels before us.
Programs: Photoshop
Date: November 21, 2015
Course: Comm 130 – Visual Communication
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Objectives: Create a montage using Photoshop and mastering overlays.
Process: We used Photoshop for editing in this project, while getting our high resolution imag-es from www.istockphotos.com and www.unsplash.com. There was a multitutde of skills that were used in this project. There were mask layers, text and image effects, and the brush tool was used a lot. Overlays of images, while using the brush tool gives the effect that the wings are coming out of the clouds. The original draft used fire to differentiate the evil wing from the good wing, but instead I decided to use the brush tool to darken the right side and hide the wing behind the clouds, representing how evil comes upon us. I used the sword to sym-bolize the weapon we should use to remove the evil and separate both sides.
FLIER
Title: Graduate Leadership Flier
Description: This is a flier to entice people to sign up for the leadership conference
Programs: InDesign
Date: October 3, 2015
Course: Comm 130 – Visual Communication
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Objectives: Create a flier to entice people to sign up for the leadership conference
Process: In this project we used Adobe InDesign, Youtube, and Google Hangouts. For the actual Flier, I used InDesign and focused on flow and repetition. To organize the message I used contrast, alignment and the theory of simplicity. The flow is symbolized by the triangles leading your down the page.bolize the weapon we should use to remove the evil and separate both sides.
EVENT AD
Title: Tiger Creek Wildlife Gala
Description: The Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge is dedicated to continue to network with conser-vationists, biologists, zoos etc. to help protect and save this endangered species of Big Cats, such as Tigers, Lions, and Leopards.
Programs: Microsoft Word
Date: October 10, 2015
Course: Comm 130 – Visual Communication
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Objectives: The message is to promote a fundraiser, via a black tie gala,by enticing those with simple eye focus and basic information.
Process: We used Microsoft Word to create this Ad flier. The print was done in print ready PDF format. The Focus Principles used were: Flow, Repetition, alignment, simplify and contrast. Flow is being used by top down and having shapes guide you through the flow. You will see both the triangle shapes being repeated. It states as being combined to infer a Black Tie and then leads to the registration. The colors taken from the eyes are in the repeating dots to simulate the button off a shirt, enhancing the black tie element. I chose to use both center and left alignment in both images and text. By using a lot of white space I chose simplicity of a powerful image and short text to compel the user to register and get more information at the website. I chose contrasting colors and text types.

IMAGING
Title: The Common Element Cafe
Description: This web page was designed from our previous draft logo project. Stone Harbor Trading is a global import/export business.
Programs: Photoshop
Date: October 17, 2015
Course: Comm 130 – Visual Communication
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Objectives: The message is to bring everyone together at the cafe. The message communi-cates that everyone’s love for pizza is in common with one another.
Process: We used Photoshop, YouTube, and my Sony CyberShot camera. The Focus and inspiration came from the colors of the pizza. The greens of the basil, red from the sauce, and the yellows of the crust and melted cheese. We took those colors and used the tetrad-ic color scheme. We simplified the design and message by only using the title, the picture and one slogan “We have pizza in common”. The contrast was made with the colors and elements between the squares of the pizza box, triangles of the pizza slice and circle of the logo, swoosh under the word Cafe.
