FOR  IMMEDIATE  RELEASE  Media  Contact:  Brittany  R.  Vajda    Communications  Director  J&A  Racing  757-­‐412-­‐1056    Brittany@jandaracing.com   J&A  RACING  ANNOUNCES  RECEPIENTS  OF  THE  2015  YOUTH  FITNESS  INITIATIVE  AWARDS    January  7,  2015-­‐  VIRGINIA  BEACH  -­‐  J&A  Racing  is  pleased  to  announce  that  Shelton  Park  Elementary  School,  Truitt  Intermediate  School,  Bayside  Middle  School,  Virginia  Beach  Middle  School,  Bayside  High  School,  and  Norview  High  School  have  been  selected  as  the  recipients  of  the  2015  J&A  Racing  Youth  Fitness  Initiative  Awards  as  part  of  the  Yuengling  Shamrock  Marathon  Weekend.    The  Youth  Fitness  Initiative  program  was  started  in  2012  as  a  means  of  ensuring  more  deserving  students  would  be  able  to  participate  in  two  of  the  youth  running  events  of  the  Shamrock  Marathon  Weekend.    Elementary  schools  are  awarded  free  race  entries  to  the  Operation  Smile  Shamrock  Final  Mile,  and  middle  and  high  schools  are  awarded  free  race  entries  to  the  ACCESS  College  Foundation  8k  Student  Challenge  –  part  of  the  TowneBank  Shamrock  8k.    Each  school  will  also  receive  coaching  support  and  guidance  for  their  running  programs  from  J&A  Racing  staff.    “We  are  very  pleased  to  award  these  schools  for  their  dedication  to  youth  fitness,”  said  J&A  Racing  Co-­‐owner,  Jerry  Frostick.      “We  are  excited  to  work  with  these  amazing  students  as  they  set  and  accomplish  new  fitness  goals!”    Additional  information  on  J&A  Racing’s  youth  fitness  programs  can  be  found  at  www.jandaracing.com/ja-­‐racing-­‐youth-­‐fitness-­‐programs.
