PAST CHAMPIONS NOTE: CAA basketball history begins with the 1982-83 season when the league was known as the “ECAC South.” League membership consisted of East Carolina, George Mason, James Madison, Navy, Richmond and William & Mary. It was the first year when league members paid dues to fund their own operations. Three previous years of ECAC South basketball - 1980-82 - are not included. Membership for those years included teams which had left the league prior to 1982-83.
