MIOSHA Training Institute (MTI)

MTI provides a wide range of seminars across the state directed toward improving and advancing safety and health in the workplace. Employers, workers, safety and health personnel, and others can participate in the same training MIOSHA provides to its own professional staff.

MTI delivers affordable, consistent, participant driven, and informative seminars. Based on the most up-to-date industry standards in a hands-on, interactive environment, courses are offered in sponsorship with M-TEC facilities, community colleges, and safety and health organizations at a reasonable cost.

The MTI assessment-based certificate program offers participants an opportunity to be recognized for their educational efforts and increased technical expertise. The courses offer continuing education credits and maintenance points as well as an opportunity to achieve Level One General Safety and Health, Level Two Safety and Health Management Systems (SHMS), and Safety and Health Compliance certificates. An Occupational Health certificate is also available.

MTI courses may qualify an employer for potential penalty reductions during a MIOSHA inspection.
