1 AMD Annual Executive Advisory Council Meeting, AMD Industry Circle, and AMD Executive in Residence Announcement Apparel, Merchandising and Design (AMD) Annual Executive Advisory Council Meeting will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016. In the morning, the AMD Executive Advisory Council will have a convening session of an all new group of Advisory Council members, led by the AMD Executive in Residence, Mark Leslie, Vice President, Divisional Merchandising Manager for Men’s, Kohl’s. Then in the afternoon, the council members will network with a larger group of industry professionals, faculty, and students during lunch and participate in the 2 nd Annual AMD Industry Circle with a keynote speaker and panel discussion. The AMD Industry Circle is open to all CHS faculty, students, and extended group of industry professionals. The keynote speaker is Geoff Ayoub, SVP Merchandise Planning, Allocation, and Analysis, Gordmans, Omaha, Nebraska. The title of Mr. Ayoub’s address is “Anatomy of a Sale: Processes and Careers at the Core off Retail.” Members of the industry panel is Mike McBreen, DSVP, Global Sourcing & Product Development for Payless Shoe Source; Denae Topalian, Regional Manager for Von Maur; Steve from Tailgate; Steve King Co-owner of Tailgate Sportswear; and Mark Leslie, Vice President, Divisional Merchandising Manager for Men’s, Kohl’s. At that time, Iowa State will officially launch its AMD Executive in Residence. The first person to hold that position will be Mark Leslie, a 1985 graduate of Iowa State’s College of Business, who is a vice president at Kohl’s. 1:00-1:15 PM Introduction and recognition of Mr. Mark Leslie, 2016 AMD Executive in Residence, with brief comments. Mr. Leslie is the Vice President, Divisional Merchandising Manager for Men’s, Kohl’s.

1:15-1:45 PM Industry Circle and Keynote presentation, entitled ““Anatomy of a Sale: Processes and Careers at the Core off Retail” Mr. Geoff Ayoub, SVP Merchandise Planning, Allocation, and Analysis, Gordman’s.

1:45-2:30 PM Panel discussion by a selected group of invited industry leaders.

2:30-3:15 PM Facilitated small group sessions with students, faculty, and industry professionals.
