“A Better Perio Debridement Protocol” & “A Comprehensive Perio Program for General Dentists/Hygienists”- 6.5 CE Hours

Timothy G. Donley, D.D.S., MSD

(Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants & Administrative Personnel of registered dentists for this course are invited to attend as long as space permits. See tuition charge on registration form.) Course Description- Morning

Every day a significant number of patients walk into dental offices with legitimate periodontal needs. There are now, more than ever, compelling reasons to address these needs. Successful periodontal therapy depends on successful debridement.

This course presents evidence-based protocols to maximize chances for resolving patients’ periodontal disease. From mechanical debridement to local antibiotic therapy to laser debridement, the emphasis is on what, when, and how. The course takes a “learn it today – use it tomorrow approach”. Attendees leave with a clear understanding and an evidence-based game plan to implement improved periodontal debridement strategies immediately upon returning to the office.

Course Objectives- Morning

Not available at time of print.

Course Description- Afternoon

Finally, a comprehensive course on Periodontics that puts it all together in a way that makes sense! This course is perfect for doctors and hygienists who want to use the new periodontics for better patient outcomes and better practice incomes. This course is supplemented with practice management materials that can be immediately used when you return to the office.

Significant numbers of patients are walking into our offices everyday with legitimate periodontal treatment needs. There are now more than ever compelling reasons to address these needs. We have the technologies and abilities to address these needs better than ever before.

The success of the periodontal portion of your practice is going to depend on your ability to identify/motivate patients in need of care, and then to use a therapeutic approach that gives the maximum chance to achieve and then maintain a preferred level of oral health. This course will show you how to do both.

“How Digital CAD/CAM Technology and Same Day Dentistry is Changing the Way You Practice” & “Complications and Frustrations with Implant Dentistry” - 6.5 CE Hours

Curtis Jansen, D.D.S.

(Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants & Administrative Personnel of registered dentists for this course are invited to attend as long as space permits. See tuition charge on registration form.) Course Description- Morning

Today dental practitioners and laboratory personnel are relaying more and more on CAD/CAM and digital technology. Patient treatment procedures and philosophies are constantly evolving for both the benefit of the patient and clinician. Research has shown technological advancement can allow dentists to combine the placement of the dental implant, abutment, and restoration into a single surgery. IFL (immediate functional loading) or IOL (immediate occlusal loading) procedures are accelerated 1-state procedures that involve placing the implant, abutment, and functional crown within 48 hours of dental implant placement, reducing the time typically associated with a dental implant treatment. Patients today can have a single implant and restoration and or 4-6 implants to replace an entire arch of teeth in the same day.

Course Objectives- Morning

At the conclusion of the course, the participant will have learned: 1. A systematic approach on when to consider CAD/CAM implants, abutments,

and restorations.2. Clinical and laboratory steps on incorporating intraoral digital scanning on a

surgical and restorative practice.3. Interdisciplinary approach to treatment planning immediately placed implants

with provisional’s. From single tooth to the complete arch, treatment flow will be reviewed.

4. Guided surgery, can it benefit your practice?

Course Description- Afternoon

For many practitioners, the excitement and thrill of implant dentistry has ward off and it is just another means of treatment. A key factor in treating the implant patient requires identification of potential problems that may arise whether during treatment or after several years of restorative function. This unique program not only addresses complications which may arise and their management, but more importantly how future complications can be avoided.

Course Objectives- Afternoon

At the conclusion of the course participants will have learned:1. Triaging implant complications.2. How to diagnose and treat loose screws.3. Treatment planning and its importance in avoiding complications. 4. Implant mapping procedures.

5. Failing implants and their consequences.
