    About The Survey

    Mountain States Employers Council, Inc. conducted the City of Steamboat Springs Employee Opinion

    Survey in May 2016. All employees were asked to participate in the survey. 139 of 222 eligible employees

    completed the survey for a response rate of 63% The overal l mean of the survey is 3.6.

    The survey contained:

    27 multiple choice items

    1 open-ended item

    3 demographic items

    Understanding Your Data

    The multiple-choice items are scored on a 1.00 to 5.00 scale, with 5.00 being the most positive possible

    score. Note, the higher the numerical value, the more positive the results regardless of how the question is

    worded. The numerical values used in this survey can general ly be interpreted as follows:

    Very Positive =3.75 and above

    Positive =3.45-3.74

    Somewhat Positive - 3.23 - 3.44

    Neutral =3.01-3.22

    Negative =Less than 3.00
