why are these programmers successful? Who do these great PDs admire and want to work for? How do you pay your dues and make it to the top? MAY 23 Space 5/6 Art 5/9Independent Warriors & Small-Market Report Large radio groups and public radio companies get much of the press, yet the independent broadcasters are operating with different structures and management styles. Our cover story features a small-market broadcaster who’s been banking success for years. How does he or she do it? What are the secrets? How can you steal them? Small-market broadcasters are coming up with new ideas every day to bring advertisers to the table and keep regular advertisers coming back to radio year after year. We’ll tap into some of those great ideas.Bonus Distribution: Top 400 Independent and Small Radio Groups

JUNE 20 Space 6/3 Art 6/6Most Influential Women in RadioAn issue that grows every year as women take on important positions in every aspect of the industry. The industry’s 100 most influential women come together in this superstar issue, our second-most-anticipated of the year. A “Who’s Who” of women in leadership, it has been the basis of mentoring groups for industry women and is an important place for radio suppliers and companies to show support and enhance brand loyalty among this distinguished group.

JULY 25 Space 7/8 Art 7/11The 40 Most Powerful People in Radio — Special 20th-Anniversary Edition2016 marks the 20th anniversary of the most-read and widely distributed issue of Radio Ink, and this one will be extra-special as Radio Ink looks back over the powerful who have guided the industry through two decades of change — and those who are taking it into the next 20 years. You’ll hear about, and hear from, the people who move radio forward — yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Will iHeartMedia’s Bob Pittman still be number one on the 2016 “Top 40” List? How far can Cumulus’ Lew Dickey climb? How high will Larry Wilson rise? Who cracks the list for the first time, and how many fall off? The annual “Top 40” list profiles the most powerful executives who influence the industry, and it remains on desks and in offices for months.

AUGUST 22 Space 8/5 Art 8/8Download on DigitalRadio Ink’s digital issue explores whether - and how- stations are really selling digital marketing services. Do they provide search? What services are having the most success? How are sales people compensated? Who manages those salespeople? What training are stations providing sellers and managers? And are they actually making profit or are the efforts more designed to keep clients in the tent? Finally, is the digital strategy dictated by corporate or do the stations have latitude? Radio Ink examines radio’s digital platforms from every angle in this information and idea packed issue.
