2016 MHS PET CALENDAR

2016 Calendar

• All entries must be clear, in color and contain only animals. • Do not send photos larger than 4” x 6”. Only horizontal (landscape)

photos can be selected for “Pet of the Month” placement. Glossy finish preferred.

• For quality reasons, any color prints made at home on inkjet or laser printers can’t be considered for pets of the month—we must have genuine photographic prints for those. However, we will accept these types of prints for the smaller photos used throughout the calendar. • Clearly mark your name, phone number and the name of your

pet on the back of each photo using a permanent felt tip pen. (Don’t use a ballpoint pen–this dents the photo!)

• Only use one entry form per household. Keep top portion.

• If your entry was taken by a commercial studio, please include a signed copyright release from the photographer with your entry. • All photos become the property of MHS & can’t be returned. • Entries will be judged by MHS staff. The top photos will be chosen for “Pet of the Month” features. All other photos will be included throughout the calendar in a variety of formats. • Dogs and cats wearing

collars/ID tags and cats photographed indoors will receive the best possible consideration.

MHS is seeking the area’s most photogenic pets for our 18th annual Pet Calendar Contest! How to Enter: The $25 entry fee is tax-deductible and guarantees your pet’s photo will be included in our 2016 calendar. The top photos will be selected for special “Pet of the Month” placement. Please submit ONE (1) Entry Form (below) per household with your photo(s) and entry fee(s). Keep this top section for reference. How To Purchase: Calendars are $15 each + tax and will be ready in the fall. Visit www.michiganhumane.org to check on availability and place your order online; or order by phone at 800-866-9189 (weekdays, 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.) this fall.
