    IELTS Identification

Should I send my passport to my embassy before my test

They say it will be back before my test…

No. We absolutely do not recommend doing this! If your passport is notreturned to you in time for your test (which happens very often!), we willnot be able to offer you a refund or a new test date. Once you havebooked an IELTS test, hold on to your passport!

Can I change my ID? I’ve got a new passport since registering

Yes, if you have a new ID, or want to use a PR card instead of a passport(or passport instead of a PR card), just e-mail us with a photocopy of yournew ID before your test day.

As stated in the Notice to Candidates from your IELTS online application, you must have yourID on the day of your test!

If you have sent your ID away, lost your ID, or if your ID is invalid, you will not be allowed totake the test, and we will not offer to refund or transfer your test date!

It is your  responsibility to have your ID on the day of your test!

No exceptions! The only two forms of ID that are acceptable on the day of your test are:

    -  A physical, valid passport. No photocopies!! -  A physical, valid Permanent Resident Card.

Under no circumstances do we accept any other forms of ID. Make sure you are attendingyour examination with your ID in hand, or you will not be able to take the test!
