• The Australian Scooter Association was set up in 2013 to help develop scooter riding as a valid sport within the Australian sporting framework, (Federal Government Australian Sports Commission).
• Between July 2014 - February 2016 the ASA has run a number of state-based competitions in NSW, QLD, VIC, SA and WA. The third National Championships will be held at RampAttak, Brisbane, QLD Apr 9-10, 2016.
• In 2015 the competition expanded to Australasia, with winners from New Zealand added to the National Championships.
• The winner of each age group will be crowned a Australasian Scooter Champion for their division.
• The top 10 riders from the Pro Division plus each state champion will qualify for the International Scooter Association – Scooter World Championships to be held at Extreme Barcelona, Spain, June 2016 (tbc).
• The event will run the following age classifications to encourage maximum participation opportunities for both males and females.
• 7 & Under, 10 & Under, 13 & Under, 16 & Under, Girls, Opens and Pros.
• All participants will receive an ASA –Australian Scooter Championship participation Medal.
• For all age groups, trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes.
• For Pro Division – Cash prizes:
– 1st Place $1000, 2nd Place $500, 3rd Place $250
