1949. The objectives of the remodeling / facility expansion was to improve the quality of care in the patient environment, while also providing a major upgrade of non-patient services and a new boiler plant building. A major shift in functional layout from existing conditions helped to provide an exit strategy from the oldest building structures. Portions of the project includes a new Emergency Department, Radiology Department, OB wing, inpatient wing, IMC remodeling, PACU recovery area, new CUP building, new cardiac rehab area, med records and major lobby space.

    - Key tasks:

Attended various user group meetings during design development phase. Assigned production team members tasks required to develop the design.

Coordinated documents at the DD and CD level with the consultant engineers. Coordinated design revisions during GMP / VE considerations. Coordinated acoustical design for a 3.0T MRI magnet suite. Addendums / RFIs / Record Drawing Documents. Change Order Justifications when required by the Owner. Helped to ensure code compliance via field verification, SOC study, development

of facility life safety plans and various discussions with DHFS.

Healthcare Architect Community Memorial Hospital Heart and Vascular Center Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin 2000-2004 Plunkett Raysich Architects, LLP - Architect Arnold & OSheridan Structural Engineer / Electrical Engineer Ring & DuChateau HVAC Engineer Leubenow & Gobster Plumbing Engineer Voss Jorgenson & Schueller- Construction Manager

    - The project completed at Community Memorial Hospital essentially consisted of 2 major additions (one to the north and one to the south of the existing hospital facility) along with functional realignment of the existing facility. Thus the task of construction needed to be broken down into many micro-phases so as to not disrupt functional operations. Portions of the project include cardiac cath labs, an entirely new OR department, Womens Center, Administrative area, MRI Suite, ICU wing, inpatient wing, emergency department, cafeteria remodeling. Lobby renovation / primary circulation spaces.

    - Key tasks:

Co-headed production team of 8 with coordinating tasks required to develop the design.

Coordinated documents at the DD and CD level with the consultant engineers. Coordinated design revisions during GMP / VE considerations. Existing facility at the North addition was 11-0 floor to floor. Interesting

ramifications included: Coordinating an MRI on an upper floor (steel shielding conflicts at floor), there was only 11 of plenum space to work with above the ORs (boom/ HVAC equipment coordination).

Addendums / RFIs / Record Drawing Documents. Change Order Justifications when required by the Owner.
