FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
LIFT2 Program• Eligibility:
o LSU inventiono LSU employee as PIo LSU innovators may submit only one application for a
LIFT2 Grant in each award cycle
• Up to $50k per grant out of $500k pool• Heavy focus on Commercial Opportunity• Statistically 3X more likely to receive
funding after I-Corps
LIFT2 Program• Early Submission Dates: March 15, 2017,
April 15, 2017o Funded if scored at top 15% of previous round
• Final Due Date: May 15, 2017o Competition for remaining funds
• Award Date: June 15, 2017• Submissions shall be made before 5 pm
BOR Proof-of-Concept and Prototyping Program
• Eligibility:o Similar to LIFT2o Up to $40,000o Heavy focus on Commercial Opportunity
• Notice of Intent due ~September 2017• Submission Deadline ~October 2017• Previous RFP available HERE.
NSF I-Corps Teams Program• Similar to this program, but more in-depth• $50,000 to travel for deeper customer discover• Focus on the entire business model canvas• Must have NSF lineage funding (this program
counts toward NSF lineage)• Must participate in 7 week intensive training• More than doubles likelihood of winning an
SBIR/STTR award
SBIR/STTR• Agency dependent• Must apply to an agency call for
technology development• Phase I: up to $225,000 to company• Phase II: up to $1,000,000 to company• Phase III: contractual sales with
customers
