Ladies and Gentlemen,

The International Conference „New Developments in Forging Technology“ in Fellbach, Germany, is orga-nised every two years in collaboration with the For-schungsgesellschaft Umformtechnik mbH (FGU).

About 300 engineers from industry and academic institutes are expected to attend this event. During both days of the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to join present dispute regarding the sta-te of the art and future tendencies in forging tech-nology and to give their particular impact on future researchanddevelopmentactivitiesinthesefields.

International experts from universities and in-dustry will present papers. Thus, an adequate mix of strategic perspectives and technical know-how will be provided during both days of conference. During the guided company tours, the IFU-Night Event and the conference dinner, you may have the opportunity to meet »good old friends« or to make new ones.

We are glad to welcome you and your colleagues in May 2017 in Fellbach.
