247 volunteer actions were performed

in 5 countries (Brazil, China, Mozambique,

Oman, and Switzerland), impacting more than

The campaigns were held in

29 municipalities in Brazil, as well

as Mozambique, Oman and

Switzerland, with the participation of

more than 859volunteers, and

benefited more than10

thousand people.

2017 Easter Campaign

In total, 275 volunteers

participated in the 28 actions

along April and delivered the

chocolates collected by the 16committees, who joined the

campaign, throughout the country,

benefiting 3066 people.

during the cold period, over

3,200 people in Brazil.

2017 V Day

Vale Volunteers Program promoted V Day on December 2nd and 3rd in celebration of International Volunteer Day.

Employees, third parties, friends, and family members from all over Brazil met in various initiatives in the communities where Vale operates, through actions proposed by local volunteer committees.

In 2017, 2145 people were benefited

by 31 actions made by 475 volunteers in 19 places, including Mozambique and Oman.

Held annually by Vale Volunteers program, the Award is a contest to acknowledge the transformative

actions carried out by volunteers from our company. Last year, 46 projects were submitted from

8Brazilian states, totaling 16873 thousand benefited people with 1813 volunteers involved

from all over Brazil. Out of the actions submitted, ten were selected as finalists and underwent analysis by

the jurors’ panel, which comprises directors and managers of the company, who defined the positions

from 1st to 10th place in technical category.
