Foundation FinancialsAs of June 30, 2018

The DCCC Foundation provides additional support for the college beyond state, county and institutional dollars. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Foundation is a vehicle for donors to make gifts that may be tax-deductible. The Foundation also receives grants and other corporate and community support. Hundreds of scholarships are awarded each year by the DCCC Foundation; athletics and international education are examples of programs that benefit from Foundation support. The Foundation, in coordination with the college Board of Trustees, also pursues a variety of strategic initiatives to promote growth and excellence for DCCC.

The college budget includes state, county and institutional funds such as food service, bookstore revenue, childcare receipts, grants and scholarships. State funds are based on full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment from the previous academic year. County funds are allocated each year by the two counties served by DCCC — Davidson and Davie — to support the physical plant.

Rittling Announces Retirement

Mary E. Rittling presides over her final commencement after 15 years at DCCC and receives an honorary degree from the DCCC Board of Trustees.

DCCC Expands Programs at Former Davie Hospital

In partnership with Davie County, DCCC is expanding its allied health programs at the former Davie County Hospital.

Commissioners named the building the Dr. Francis Slate Medical Training Center in tribute to Dr. Slate’s long history

of service to the county.
