End of another school year! Now time to relax… To say this year has been busy would be an understatement. Busy is apparently having a great deal to do, but we know we also need to give ourselves permission to enjoy ourselves as we start the Christmas period. This newsletter focuses on a few areas of cashflow which provide financial stress for loved ones directly impacting on other areas of their life. However, we know having some mindfulness in this area, can lead to time spent into other enjoyable areas of your life. How to spend more mindfully this Christmas - For some people Boxing Day is a time to hit the shops, for others it is watching the cricket and eating leftovers! Having some foresight can help make this time of year an enjoyable one, spending quality time with family and friends, without adding credit card debt. Please take the time to be mindful, and perhaps helping others will make a more enjoyable time for all Who to talk to and who to avoid! - Now each family has their unique characters and for some it is knowing what you are in for! This article has the scrooge, the gambler through to mentor. Perhaps you can have some fun thinking who’s who in your family? Household spending – What are the three biggest contributors to household spending? We think we know, but the ABS has now identified that we are spending more on the basics. We are now having more conversations about money management, because counting your pennies and automating your cashflow takes away the stress. For our retirees it is making informed decisions about where they will be in 15-20 years, by having an eye on the future. Forewarned is forearmed, and then you can ensure you live life on your terms, rather than saving and worrying about money.
