Featuring green-themed carnival games, a trashion show, local food, and up-cycled crafts, this event is one of a kind! MPower Business Champion Program 2018-2019 Presented in partnership with the City of Madison & MGE What: A proven, nationally recognized, one-year, hands-on program for area organizations to become more sustainable. Participants form a strategic “Green Team” that designs, implements, and measures at least 5 sustainability initiatives. Sustain Dane facilitates the program by providing coaching, education, resource matching, press and marketing, and accountability. When & Where: Program begins Spring 2018. Sustainable Business Network 2018 What: The Sustainable Business Network is a membership-based group of regional business leaders who care about social, environmental, and economic sustainability. The network creates opportunities to integrate social and environmental responsibility into business practices, develop professionally, and support the economic vitality and quality of life in the Madison Region. The Sustainable Business Network (SBN) convenes at quarterly breakfast meetings, which feature peer-to-peer sharing of best practices, current information and expert resources, and skill-building opportunities. SBN members have discounted and priority access to workshops like Step Up: Equity Matters and free and priority access to the MPower Sustainability Sessions. The Megaphone 2018

Presented in partnership with Living in Balance Madison What: We believe in the power of our stories to inspire change. The Megaphone aims to be a powerful community platform that provides the space and tools to craft and share our stories; people from different backgrounds, races, age, gender and geographies that are working on and want to inspire others to build a more sustainable and inclusive community. Sustain Dane and local storytelling artists from The Moth will offer two workshops to provide practical tools on the art of storytelling. The program will culminate in a public Story Slam to share these stories with the community. A few impactful stories will be filmed, and these 2+ videos will be shared widely through multiple community platforms, inspiring more people across our region and beyond. We expect to expand the Megaphone with additional programs and more robust online platforms throughout 2018. Giving Days 2018 What: Sustain Dane participates in two community-wide Giving Days each year. The Big Share is an online day of giving hosted by Community Shares of Wisconsin for nearly 70 local nonprofits. Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. As a sponsor of a Giving Day, your organization will sponsor a “Matching Hour” throughout the day. Your gift will match donations from community members up to your sponsorship amount during one hour of the day.
