MINUTES OF EDDY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING EDDY COUNTY COURTHOUSE MAY 7, 2019, 8:30 A.M. The meeting was called to order by Glenda Collier, Chairperson. Also present were Com- missioner Neal Rud, Commissioner Dave Gehrtz, Auditor Patty Williams, and Rachel Brazil, New Rockford Transcript. Neal Rud made a motion to approve the agenda and it was seconded by Dave Geh- rtz. The motion carried. Dave Gehrtz made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 16, 2019 meeting. Neal Rud seconded the motion and the mo- tion carried. After review of the financials and expen- diture and revenue budgets for the month of April 2019, a motion was made by Neal Rud to approve both the financials and budgets. The motion carried. OLD BUSINESS Todd Weber, Road Superintendent, gave an update on the road department. He pre- sented the quotes from Butler Machinery Company for the XH1500 Rotary Cutter, the FX-1800 Pan Rotary Cutter, the FLX-1510 Attachment, and the trade values for some of the old equipment. Neal Rud made a motion to have Curtis Larson mow the abandoned cemetery. Dave Gehrtz seconded the motion and the motion carried. Mowing at the county shops was discussed. Tim Hartl will mow at Warsing Dam again this year. NEW BUSINESS Tim Becker, County Agent, attended the meeting to inform the Commission of his resignation from the position of Eddy Coun- ty NDSU Extension Agent effective May 15, 2019. He offered his assistance until NDSU and the Commission makes a decision on his replacement. Dave Gehrtz made a motion to offer Tim county employment of three days a week until further notice. Neal Rud seconded the motion and the motion carried. Neal Rud made a motion to give $2,500 to the Safe Alternatives for Abused Families Shelter in Devils Lake, ND for assistance with operation costs for 2019. Dave Gehrtz seconded the motion and the motion carried. Dave Gehrtz made a motion to have Ran- dy Linderman fix the handrail and replace the carpet on the entrance steps of the court- house.
