Douglas County is located in the state of Colorado with the county seat and largest city being Castle Rock. Douglas County was one of the original 17 counties created by the Colorado Territorial Legislature in November, 1861. The county was named in honor of U.S. Senator of Illinois, Stephen A. Douglas. The area is conviently located right in between Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado’s two largest cities. Douglas County is also a part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. Elbert County is another county in the state of Colorado, located to the east of Douglas County. The county seat is the town of Kiowa while the largest town is Elizabeth. The county was created in February, 1874, from the eastern portions of Douglas County. The county was named in honor of Samuel Hitt Elbert, the Governor of the Territory of Colorado when the county was officially formed. Elbert County is also a part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. There is plenty to see and do here in the Douglas and Elbert County Area. HealthHealth
Having good health overall is a major key to a long and healthy life. Finding ways to take care of your health can aid in recovery and help you feel better daily. Get routine check-ups and visit your doctor when you're not feeling well. Sometimes, it is hard to tell whether not feeling well is due to a side-effect of medicine, a symptom of a health disorder or any other different health problem. Talk to your doctor or other health care specialist for any other questions or information.
Excellent health care…Close to home.
