2019 COMMUNITY EDUCATION SPRING CLASSES

This class list is subject to change based on availability of instructors and number of registered students. Payment for courses is due upon registering.

Basic RV Repair – How to keep it out of the ShopXCS 0387 / CRN 3411 This course will cover the basics of RV maintenance and repair including: appliances and systems including solar; hands on instruction for electrical instruments used in diagnosis and trouble-shooting; individual repair manuals tailored to your own RV systems; skills and materials used in winterization and weatherproofing; and, schedule of annual maintenance needed to keep repair to a minimum.

Single Ballroom Dance XFW 0310 / CRN 3413Learn the basic steps of Foxtrot, Rumba, Tango, and the Cha-cha. Focus will be on the steps; the technique behind the movement; and, Lead-Follow Dynamics that will have you dancing confidently in a short time.

Single Ballroom DanceXFW 0311/ CRN 3412Learn the basic steps of the Waltz, Samba, Swing/Jive and the Salsa. Focus will be on the steps; the technique behind the movement; and, Lead-Follow Dynamics that will have you dancing confidently in a short time.

Belly Dance IXFW 0320 / CRN 3414 Fluid movement, muscle isolation, stretching, shimmies, and dance moves with origins throughout world dance traditions will be taught using a variety of music and costumes (included). To be covered and discussed in the course will be choreography, improvisation techniques, and props including veils and swords, along with safe posture alignment and healthy exercise to support dancers of all skill levels.

Introduction to Alternative Healing – Using Essential OilsXFW 0331 / CRN 3416 The basic overview of homeopathy, herbology, flower essences and other inexpensive, effective remedies for home and family, both human and animal application. First of a series, to be followed by an in-depth study of specific healing methods. Includes field trips (may be additional cost).

Beginning/Intermediate Guitar – It’s the Real DealXMT 0311 / CRN 3419 This course covers beginning/intermediate guitar. Skills include chord fingering, singing, picks, and strums. Beginners/Intermediate experienced players and aspiring song writers are welcome.
