WHAT WE LOVENow it is legal here (yay) you can get married wherever you choose, and Australia has a wealth of options, all easily accessible.

New Zealand, it is so close and easy to get to, and apart from a few strangled vowels, it is the same language, and pretty much the same dollar.

From the stunning slopes of the mountains in Queenstown, to private villas and lodges, there is everything available in New Zealand.

The process is quite easy. You need to lodge the Notice of Intent to Marry (NOIM) with your celebrant (and as Mandi is an authorised Marriage Celebrant as well, we can easily help you find one). This needs to be done at least one month in advance.

You will need to provide 2 forms of IF (one being photo ID such as a Drivers Licence or Passport) and your birth certificate.

NEW ZEALAND

Australia is blessed to have such a wonderful variety of destination wedding options.

From a glamourous stylish wedding in a smart hotel in Sydney, or a bespoke event in one of the amazing wine regions such as the Mornington Peninsula, Barossa or Hunter Valleys. From a casual beach wedding on the Sunshine Coast, to a divine B & B in the mountains. Whatever you prefer, we can make it happen!

THE LEGAL STUFFIf you are overseas, the Statutory Declaration may be signed by a Commonwealth Representative, and then sent to the registry office in NZ closest to where you want to be married. This notice should arrive at least a week before you intend to get married. Or you can travel to New Zealand, pay the fee and fill out the form there in front of a local registrar, and then 3 days later, a marriage licence and associated documentation will be ready for collection and then your ceremony can take place.

The fee for a marriage licence is approximately NZ$125 if using an approved marriage celebrant or NZ$175 if having a Registry Office ceremony.

WHAT WE LOVEThis is bucket list wedding stuff. Also for honeymoons. Tahiti is AMAZING. Mandi went there for her own honeymoon and was blown away - that tells you something!

From the rolling green and violet hills of lavender atop a Maui mountain, to the world renowned white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, Hawaii is ideal for a destination wedding.

Rich in culture and scenic backdrops, it is sure to make your special day even more magical.

As a French overseas territory, same sex marriages are legal. For couples wanting to marry legally, the list of documents and the process is a little complex, so ask us for details.

The legal ceremony must take place in a town hall, and then you can seal the deal in true Polynesian style on the beach with a celebrant.

Can there be a more memorable, beautiful and romantic place on Earth?

There are unlimited magical locations in Tahiti, from the stunning waters and iconic overwater bungalows in Bora Bora, to its sister island of Moorea, or the mainland of Tahiti. Get married in an overwater chapel for those seeking a touch of tradition!

THE LEGAL STUFF

You must have a valid marriage licence to be married in Hawaii but we can organise that.

There is a US$65 state fee paid directly to the coordinator, or you can pay for it online. The list of documents and the process is a little complex, so ask us for details.

WHAT WE LOVEYou can go island hopping and get a totally different experience if you want to get away from the main areas.

WHAT WE LOVESo much choice. We love the Graceland Chapel in Vegas with Elvis serenading, kitsch and fun!

Apart from some of the most stunning scenery in the world, with mountains and glaciers as well as beaches and amazing parklands.

It is all very culturally diverse and offers a plethora of outdoor activities, and features plenty of art, culture and food for all tastes.

In the USA, the process for ceremonies and applying for licences vary from state to state. Each state has its own laws and regulations, and you need to abide by the laws in the state you are marrying in. Before you marry you must visit the courthouse to get the marriage licence, and you are not legally married until the completed licence signed by the officiant is sent back to the courthouse. Some states such as Vegas this is automatic and easier.

CANADA

The USA offers you a wildly diverse choice of locations to tie the knot.

America is full of variety from Elvis at the Graceland Chapel and all the glitz of Vegas, to the elegance of the Algonquin in New York, or celebrating with Napa Valley wines, or even taking a road trip. This will be a big holiday as well as a fabulous place to celebrate.

To marry in Canada, the processes for ceremonies and applying for licences range from region to region. You will need to obtain a marriage licence, find an officiant (which we can do for you), and arrange for the 2 witnesses to be present for the ceremony.
