STEAM CAMPSART ATTACK - Attention art enthusiasts! Do you love using a variety of materials to create a masterpiece? If so, then this is the camp for you. Art isn’t just an indoor activity, as campers will be doing projects both inside and out! Prepare to get messy this week and let your imagination and creativity run free!

BUGS LIFE - Do you ever wonder about the tiny creatures that live amongst us? This week we will dig in to see where ants live, how bees fly, and how long a spider can weave her web. We will also visit local nature parks to get up close and personal with what’s creepy and crawly.

COMIC CON - Are you Marvel or are you DC? Be prepared to rep your colors as we explore and create your favorite superheroes, or villains, regardless of which universe you belong to.

FARMVILLE (NEW!) - EIEIO! Join us for fun on the farm. Get ready to learn about everything from planting seeds to taking care of farm animals. Our adventure this week will take us to a local farm.

FOOD SCIENCE 101 (NEW!) - Explore the science of food! Our journey this week will take us through some basic elements of the field of food science. Learning how different ingredients interact and using the scientific method, this week we’ll play with our food.

GOING GREEN (NEW!) - Take a breath of fresh air, now listen to the sound of birds chirping and feel the warmth of the sun. This week campers will be going green to ensure that kids in 100 years can have those same experiences. We will learn about planet health, recycling, and reusable energy.

MINECRAFT 101 - Survival or creative mode, which will you choose? Let’s get away from the screen and jump into the game IRL. We’ll explore the basic principles of the game like resource gathering, building, and navigation using creativity and our imagination.

PURE MICHIGAN - Did you know that the state of Michigan covers 96,716 square miles and that you’re never more than 85 miles from one of the 5 Great Lakes? This week we will learn about our Mitten State and its 182 years of history.

MUSIC MAKERS - Let’s explore how music brings us to life. From a cappella to instrumental, we’ll introduce the different styles of music and create some homemade instruments. This week is bound to be a toot!

STEAM 101 - Join us this week as we explore the categories that make up S.T.E.A.M. Each day we will focus on one of the 5, Science. Technology. Engineering. Art. Math.

ZOOLOGY 101 - Calling all animal lovers! This camp will take us through the taxonomy of the Animal Kingdom. In our partnership with Potter Park Zoo we will work with their Zoologists and learn what top predators eat, and how zoos are an integral part of saving endangered species.

ADVENTURE CAMPSAMAZING RACE - Race around the world in 5 days with your group by learning about a new country each day with unique cultural experiences! You could be headed to Tokyo one day and Rio the next! But watch out, the other groups are also traveling around the world this week and may leave a roadblock to slow you down! This is, the Amazing Race!

CAMP WILDERNESS - Learn how to build a fire, make your own shelter, and explore nature throughout the week. This camp will include a trip to a local nature center to work with trained staff. The rest of the days will be spent at local parks and the YMCA.

DISNEY - Be our guest this summer as we dream, soar, and dive into a whole new world of Disney! Come explore all of your favorite characters, songs, and kingdoms this week from the classic animations, to Pixar, Star Wars, and new live action remakes! So wish upon a star with us as it’s sure to be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

HARRY POTTER - Are you a Brave Gryffindor, a Witty Ravenclaw, a Caring Hufflepuff, or a Sneaky Slytherin? Come one come all Potter-heads, this is the camp for you! You will do everything Harry Potter this week from Quidditch to potions class, and maybe meet some fantastic beasts, or powerful wizards along the way! So get ready to be sorted and enter the magical world of Harry Potter.

HEROES AND VILLAINS - We are under attack from evil villains and need your help. Throughout this week we will work with campers to hone in on their super powers to explore what it takes to be an everyday hero.

HOLIDAYS - What’s your favorite Holiday? Don’t worry, we’ll cover them all. From New Year’s to Christmas, we will create and share some of your favorite Holiday traditions with friends of old and new

NEPTUNES ADVENTURE - This week we will learn about the Roman God of water by getting soaked. All activities will involve water and include swimming, sponge tag, bucket relays and a trip to the East Lansing Aquatics Center!.

OLYMPIC VILLAGE (NEW!) - It’s an Olympic year, which means your camper can go for gold all week. We will create our own flags, participate in summer sports, and celebrate the opening ceremony.

PARTY IN THE USA - Celebrate Independence Day while learning about our states and their cultures. Whether it’s a hoedown in Houston or a Luau in Honolulu, we will journey through the nifty fifty. Along the way, we will learn about history, geography, and American traditions. Be sure sure to wear red, white, and blue!

SPLISH SPLASH - Water, waves and a water park! Pack plenty of sunscreen this week as we will visit various local parks, play a variety of fun water games, and take a field trip to the East Lansing Aquatics Center.

TIME TRAVELERS - Ever wonder what it was like to live in a different decade? A different millenium? Well here’s your chance. Campers will time travel during the week to learn how life was when the dinosaurs roamed all the way to the present day and possibly beyond.

(Ages 5-12) Take advantage of Swim Lessons for you child after their camp day. This program will run from 4:15pm - 5:15pm Monday-Friday and each day YMCA staff will pick up your child

to take them to their lesson. You can either pick up your camper from the pool or if they are register for extended care we will return

them to camp. Fee: $50

Extended care hours are from 7:00am to the start of camp and from the end of camp to 6:00pm. You can drop off or pick up your child any time during the extended care hours. Breakfast is included and served

between 7:30am-8:30am each morning and a healthy snack is served in the afternoon at 4:15pm. Fee: $40

AFTER CAMP SWIM LESSONS

SPORTS CAMPSBASKETBALL - This camp focuses on shooting, dribbling, defense, teamwork and conditioning for all levels. We will be divided by skill level and spend time working on conditioning, learning set plays, and play instructional games in order to improve their skills.

SWIM - Swim Camp includes daily dry land drills, water drills, games and relays instructed by Oak Park Swim Instructors. Campers will be divided into groups of beginners, intermediate and advanced.
