GIA Board of management is actively leading the safety message in the difficult pandemic scenario which has gripped the entire world. Our responsibility now includes new precautions and guidelines especially in the medical Oxygen and business and hospital supplies. We need to protect the contamination of assets as they go in and out of hospitals where covid treatment is going on. We also need to ensure the uninterrupted supply of Medical gases as the volume requirements go up. Also we need to ensure continued working as our own employees go for protective restrictions. Frequent stoppages and running with reduced manpower puts our organisations at stress. We salute all personal engaged in these activities for their tireless work and commitment. AIGA sponsors a special project in GIA to reduce two-wheeler

fatalities in road accidents. Difficult driving conditions on

Indian roads has been the cause of one of highest road

fatalities with gas transport vehicles in Asia. Similar alarming

conditions are also reported in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Trying to improve this by taking extra new measures, AIGA

board has asked GIA to make a special task force. This project

has been successfully initiated in India and our Transport

Safety. We are working in tandem with AIGA member country

association in Asia. Technical specifications, Training

programs, awareness campaigns are being done.

    GIA Safety Seminar 2019

GIA hosts of Asian Industrial Gas Association (AIGA) delegates.

In January, the GIA Team went to Nagpur and interacted with PESO

chief Sh SK Jhala and his team. We have proposed our experience

and expertise in modernising the Cylinder tracking systems and

testing methods, a subject which is root cause of several accidents

recently and which needs much reforms in India. Several

constructive ideas were brought up and GIA team has expressed its

commitment to PESO to support such future projects.
