FILE TYPE AND TECHNICAL SPECS

We accept static JPG, GIF, and PNG files. We also accept animated GIFs, third-party ad tags (accepted from most major third-party ad serving vendors — inquire for list of preferred vendors) and HTML5, but HTML5 must be served via a third-party ad tag. For creative that is third-party served, creative MUST be responsive and 7-10 business days is required for testing. For all ads (animated, static, etc.) file weight should not exceed 150KB, must be 72ppi (pixels per inch), and fall within the min and max size ranges. All animated ads are allowed a 3-frame max, first frame must contain/start with an image or solid color background, no transparency and animation length may not exceed 15 seconds. Looping is allowed, but not beyond 15 seconds. Please inquire for any additional spec information and video requirements.

Creative note: The HFM website is a secure site, for any third-party served creative all external files (CSS, Java, images, etc.) must be SSL hosted (https://). Failure to host files on a secure site may result in a security warning on the site or creative not displaying, resulting in removal of creative from site. Also, the site is set on a white background, and we require a 1-pixel border around any ad that contains a white or gray background. We recommend adding a call to action on ads as well as including a UTM tracking code in URLs.
