2022 Ensemble Program Audition

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS 1. Own choice works (2)

Two contrasting solo works that best demonstrate your technical abilities and musicianship.

2. Technical work Prepare a minimum of 1 x major scale, 1 x harmonic minor scale and 1 x melodic minor scale of the applicant’s choice from an AMEB Grade appropriate to the standard of Melbourne Youth Strings (approximately AMEB Grades 4-5).

GENERAL INFORMATION • Your audition must be unaccompanied; • Your audition will be pre-recorded. Information on how to submit a recorded audition will be

distributed by 19 October 2021. • Any audition requirements not prepared will result in an incomplete assessment of the applicant’s

suitability for the ensemble
