bring your clubhouse kids with you to enjoy our regular service in the sanctuary.

Mission Trip to Armenia Jennifer West will be going to Armenia from September 3-14. The trip will be

funded completely through donations and fundraisers. The total cost of the trip will be

around $2100.00. If you are interested in supporting her, donations can be made

with the Sunday morning offering, or in the office. Checks should be made out to

Oaklawn Baptist Church, with “Jennifer West: Armenia” in the memo line.

Deacon Nominations Deacon nomination forms are now

available at the welcome center. This process is used to select new deacons as others rotate off. We will continue taking

nominations through November, so please be considering candidates.

Hall Woodward Supply Drive We are now collecting school supplies for

those in need at Hall Woodward Elementary School. The following list is what is needed:

1

Missions Camp on October 9 and 10. If you are interested, check out http://baptistsonmission.org and see Bill Greenwood for more information.

Griefshare The new season of Griefshare is now in

session. Griefshare features biblical concepts for healing from your grief.

Whether you’ve lost someone recently, or it’s been a while, you will find a warm,

caring environment in which to begin the healing process. Classes are held on

Monday evenings from 6:00pm-8:15pm in the Education Building, room 106. Signup fee is $20.00, which covers 2 workbooks.

Nursery Help Needed Some nursery workers have recently become unable to help on Sunday

Men are supported in 17 ministries that reach out into our communities. Please

look for the special offering envelope at the Welcome Center.

Food Pantry Drive During the month of September, we are asking for donations of canned meat to

stock our food pantry. We are looking for items such as chicken, tuna, and beef. Please make sure all donations to the

pantry are not out of date.
