Navigation by radar to thein i t ia l point is very good and the many coastal check points can beused for fixing position and obtaining a radar rrind. The in i t i a lpoint, 3346JON-13l57JOE is the island of ba i , 17hich cannot be confused 17ith other islands in the vicinity because i t is the mast'J'esterly of the group. Matsuyama is a good radar target \7i th excellent check points on the axis of attack and good reference pointearound the target ~ e a . The 2 islands of Heligun and Oichi can beused for course corrections and the toon of ~ t i t s u g a h ~ D a is a goodreference paint to aid in locating the target area. Tim method ofrelease ~ a to be by direct synchronous at 11,000 to 11,800 feet .
